An idea, once the dust settles

I think the new tradeskill ui is great. It's saving me a ton of time, plus wear and tear on my poor wrist (the one with tendinitis). Yes, there are some bugs to be swatted out, and it will take a while to get to them all and get them fixed...so try to be patient.

I am having just a total blast running around making new stuff. I am focusing mainly on the baking right now, since my wood elf druid can forage some of the ingredients, and it's her highest tradeskill right now at 187.

I did a /feedback on this, as I think it would be a really neat thing to have. It's not likely to happen, but I can dream.

I am using baking as an example, but it would probably do well with each kind of tradeskill. A favorite recipes list that you could make yourself. Do a search on your known recipes, then click and add to a favorites list that you label, such as desserts, casseroles, etc. Not sure how that would work with their coding and all that, but would be nice.

There is a favorites list on the new UI already. Click the add button below the box that shows what your search returned.

I know there is a favorites already....just suggested it would be nice if you could choose your recipes to go.

Hmm, it does make sense, if you have enough imagination.

I'm not sure, but this is what I read in the first post:
For each tradeskill, you get favorite lists (not only one) that you can label. So for example for baking you create a favorite list named 'desserts' where you put all your dessert recipes, then another list 'mtp' where you put in all you misty thicket picnic recipes and so on. Somehow like the tool to sort your quests.

I'm not sure if that's needed, but I guess that's what Raienya wants. (I hope that my example helps a bit to understand the idea).

Ah, I guess you're suggesting categories, or saved lists. I guess it's kind of like the saved spell lists that you can right-click and load.

So, if I were a baker making Misty Picnics, I would make a list with all the baking recipes needed. Each time I wanted to skill up baking, I could load the list for MTP and have all the subcombines on my screen, ready to select and click. If I decided to do a run of HMP's next, I could load the list of subcombines for that and have them all on one listing rather than having to search for each subcombine individually.

Adding all the subcombines to a generic favorites list is impractical when the limit is thirty favorites across all tradeskills; heck, MTP alone would take up a significant chunk of those favorites.

Sounds like an interesting idea when put that way, but I think the need for it would be much less if they expand the number of favorites to, say, 200 across all skills or 30 per tradeskill.
