I've noticed that my "saved favorites" sometimes work, and sometimes do not work.

I went to Thurgadin to make some velium rings, and saved the recipe. Closed the forge (by accident) to look for something for someone, and someone else "stole" the forge.

So I gated to PoK to finish up the combines, but nothing that I saved on the smithing recipes showed up.

Maybe it has something to do with the different types of forges?

Does anyone know if recipes are tied to different classes of containers, like regular vs tanaan vs folded/collapsed containers (or even oven vs spit, loom vs sewing kit, etc, no counting those recipes that require more slots that the portable versions)?

I didn't manage to do any experiments. I was making some combines before I had to leave for work, and didn't have time to verify this. I'll test this tonight and see what I can come up with.

It appears that the TS containers in PoK MAY be bugged at the moment... With the info you gave Fin the bug appears to be:

      1. Cannot Learn combines in the PoK TS contianers
      2. Cannot retrieve favorites while using the PoK TS containers.

I would ask that you attempt this, go to another zone and attempt the combine. If it works there toss a /feedback and let us know that it is an issue with the POK TS containers.

Ohhh BTW LOVE the new interface!!! I am sure that all the kinks that are there right now will be smoothed out soon!

      THANKS!!

i think tanin containers and other containers have seperate favorites lists.

i added mino brews to both the pok brew favorites and the halas brew barrel favorites.
beleive i did the same with wu's in pok loom and qeynos loom. i could search for the recipe but i'm not sure it copied favorites over.

someone want to check that. i remember on minos last ight but was so ecstatic over wu's i didn't look too hard. hehe.

I'm darn near GIDDY over the new UI.

I've only been tradeskilling for about a year.

Last night I got to actually sit down and REALLY use it. I gathered enough materials to create from start to finish 60 of the HMP's.

I think I probably do the various fillets as fast as the UI resets itself, but the other combinations were quite impressive. And the final combine?

Amazing. *I was even happier by getting 4 increases...it's been ages since that happened

I was scared as to whether or not it would make TS too easy and therefore diminish my hard work to get to Baking (221), but I don't think that is the case at all. You still have to have the desire to sub-combine and finish the project.

Thanks you Programmer types! I love it.

I believe there are 3 types of Jumjum Staks (foraged, ground spawns, and store bought) they are different items but have same name. This would account for the 3 recipes and why you could only do 1 of them.

Actually the three are bought, ground spawn, and the ones you can get from killing Nillipus.

My fishing skill is 189 but only one recipe shows up when i open the tackle box and that is fish oil which, i suspect, is a brewing recipe not a fishing recipe. No matter what i did, i could not get any other recipes to show.

                        Has anyone else experienced this??

If one of the moderators wants this to be a new topic or in a different forum...I won't be offended. It just seemed to fit under "problems with the new TS UI".

This must be a bug (and I've reported it as such), but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced it, or if it's "just me".

On my lowly level 12 bard, I've added some baking recipes to favorites. She's only up to about 38 in baking, so I've been doing mostly batwing & wooly spider crunchies. Since a friend, a totaly newbie to EQ who started last Sunday, had a load of rat meat. I took it off his hands for cheap and was making beer braised rat for some variety.

Now when I go to my favorites for those recipes, I click on batwing crunchies and no frosting or batwings appear in the ingredient spot. It's not that it shows red like I don't have any of them, nothing shows there at all.

When I try beer braised rat, ingredients show, but the UI tells me I'm missing skewers and lizard meat, obviously trying to make lizard on a stick instead of beer braised rat.

Just wondering if I'm alone on this one.

                        Thanks everyone.

Ok.. i've spent a bit of time on my zerker, so i'm a few days late to the ts party.

The question i have is.. when a recipe not on the canlearn list at this moment is done, does it give the message it's been lreaned.. but not learn it? I'll clarify...

Went to pok to get a couple of earthweave combines done. Having read the boards and such, it was mentioned no PoP recipes were in.. no huge deal for the silks. HOWEVER...

...Upon making the curing agent, i got the message that the recipe was learned message (i did not bother to verify).

...Upon making the enchanted immaculate bar of steel, i got the recipe was learned message, and verified it actually was learned.

...Upon making the emblem of earth, i got the recipe was learned message (trivial 287), and verified it was actually learned.

... Then made the earth swatches, got the recipe learned message.. but the recipe didn't show up on the list

.. Then, i made an earthweave robe.. got the message the recipe was learned, but it didn't show up on my list.

Both tailoring combines were done in a collapsible sewing kit, and when it didn't show up on the list using that one, i check in the pok loom... didn't show up there either. I then had to log on a mule, came back, and it still didn't show up.

So, is this how they've been being "not learned".. or is this a /bug... and, if it is a bug, how am i going to get this onto my list if i'm already flagged as knowing it (i would assume it'll work itself out, but figured i'd ask).

As for liking the new ui... well, it contains no mention of the superiority of the dark elven race.... but, other than that obvious oversite.. it's the best thing since bubblegum. Thankyou.

Well, since I haven't really done anything other than fletching and since I'm doing cultural fletching, I can add that the Fier'dal forge and Fier'dal fletching kit are also currently bugged.

Seems like cultural containers are currently not working with the new UI since I'm hearing all sorts of grief from the halflings.

I posted about the Right-Click to open the TS container and Ctrl-Right click to open it as a regular container. Found out last night on the TS screen there is a toggle for it.

Finall got GoD last night and got it loaded. Went to do some Brewing this am. All my reciepes from the other night on my favorite lists are there but they all have the wrong ingredients I had to delete them and remem/learn them all over again.

                                Helloo there :>

One thing that does appear to be updated is on recipes that have multiple ways to make it. i noticed that the Jum Jum cake now has in parahenisis (/speel) the type of ingredients. Example was something like Jum Jum cake (Stolen) and Jum Jum cake (Nilpuss). Just goes to show there are people who are listening to the posts here, and are working to make the "New" trade skill UI even better. Just give them some time all. :>
