The collapsed JC kit may be bugged. Not sure of other JC

containers as I only tried that one. I went to Thurgadin for

some velium bars to make a pair of Velium Fire Wedding Rings for

my baby zerker. Enchanted the bars and got the recipe from the

UI list but it called for unenchanted bars. Couldn't find any stat

jewelry recipes at all in fact they were all straight unenchanted

combines. Maybe because SOE wisely decided not to differentiate

the end products with unique names...

renaming it all enchanted blah blah blah would be helpful. was it can learn or not learn. might also have only made it through the non-enchanted stuff. i imagine there is quite a bit of work involved in changing every recipe in the game. just look at ce.

I haven't been able to learn any cultural recipes yet that I've tried (tried fletching and smithing).

Some people were saying last night that they had to do at least 20 combines before something was learned.

And a GM told a friend of mine that alchemy was "messed up" atm.

All in all, been enjoying it very much.

          Good!

I won't be responding to requests for this recipe or that to be marked CanLearn/AutoLearn. I don't do the marking, I don't make the decisions.
Then send along the person who does, so we can gripe at THEM

Personally I am finding it very hard to understand why ANY recipe should be unlearnable, but then I'm not a game designer...

Yeah, you would think that if an item's trival level is lower than your skill level, it should be autolearned, or learnable, and any items above your skill level should be CanLearn... but then I'm not making big bucks as a game designer...

              Love it.

Vale sewing kit did not let me learn the patch and woven dire wolf but I asume that this is still a work in process; and it will show as learnable (as soon as enough of us right-sized people make a fuss). Did not get a chance to make a haversack yet (fur shortage) but I will tonight.

I like knowing the real trivial of combines. I like knowing the % chance of success, and now I can calculate it.

Hate having everyone and their cousin suddenly deciding to be traders, every combine I wanted to do last night required me to stand in line in PoK (ok, I know.. go some place else; and I will, but I know where all the merchats are in PoK /whine).

I made several haversacks this morning. Neither the sacks nor the subcombines are showing in the recipes nor are they being learned. I'm pretty sure from reading around here that this was overlooked, as part of the cultural tradeskills got missed (the infused boning didn't show up at the Vale forge either).

I didn't read all the post, sue me.

Can we delete items or is our only option finding them and adding them to our favorites one by one?

I have yet to "learn" a recipie as well, but I have been doing cultural and a few POP baking combines. Not sure why something would be unlearnable as well but I am sure they have reasons. Hope they get the flags on canlearn etc done in reasonable time, will be very nice.

level 200 fishing, i open a tacklebox and only one recipe shows up in search (fish oil). i did a handful of combines of prepared fish for the fish bones, and i got no learned message.

overall i think the new tradeskill ui is fantastic, just incomplete. to whoever said it: being able to learn a recipe once you get around that skill level is a great idea. i think it should be once your skill level is 20 or so within the trivial of the item.

i frankly can't think of any reasons to make ANY item unlearnable, especially the high end items that have the most ingredients to combine.

My point of view on the UI...

                          I LOVE IT!!

You can save specific recipies in your 'favorites' list to pull them up quickly. If there's something way over your head that doesn't show up on the UI, then hit experiment and it'll go back to old school. Suceed at combine and it'll show up in your UI.

For those of you complaining about the PoP recipies not showing on UI, may I ask if you're looking in the right container? If you need (for example) the recipie for Vann Toe Stew, it can only be done in collapsable spit or tanaan oven. You will never see it if you're looking in an old world oven or a regular spit because it can't be done in that container. I've had a bit of problem with that one until I got it figured out. The other suggestion is the search engine can only return so many results. Try looking for every recipie that is over 200 and see if that gets it to show up.

The skill listed in the new UI is your skill INCLUDING all modifying items on you. So if you have a geerlok, and a skill of 100, it'll show a skill of 105 (the modified skill once you crank in the 5% mod).

The colors of the numbers on the trivs indicate how easy it is. Green means it's trived (after mods), white means it's nearly trived (within like 5 points or something), blue means it's optimal for improving your skill, something like 6-15 or so, yellow is above that, means it's about as high as it'll show ya for free. Red means it's way over your skill and you probably got the recipie using the old school method.

I have proposed a toast in this thread to salute the new UI. Come and participate if you enjoy the new UI, I know I do.

I finally was able to try the new UI last night. It's great

2 suggestions and a small bug I noticed.

I would like to see the TS container open to the new UI with ctrl-right click. I do carry bags that are TS containers. If I go looking for something in a bag I have to use the ctrl key. I would swap the the keystrokes to open the bag. Right click to open in normal mode and ctrl-right click for the TS container.

Did a run of MTP last night. What a savings in time and clicking and made 2 skill ups to get to 216.
Did a search for Jumjum salad. I got 3 recipes and only one detected that I had jumjum stalks on me. The other 2 were red, indicating that I had no Jumjum stalks when in fact I did. The Jumjum cake did the same thing. I "added" the good recipes to my favorites.

The actual TS container should not fill with combined product. One idea is to open the container you want to fill with combined products and have auto-inventory place it there..

                            Very well done btw. Congrats

The ctrl r click thing keeps messing up my run/walk. Really annoying.

It's not ctrl r click, it's ctrl rightclick.
