OK, I understand that not all the recipies are displayed - that some above your skill level won't appear until you get close.

I'm 220 in tailoring - I wasn't too surprised that I couldn't find any beginning with wyvern. I'm astonished that I can't find any beginning with acrylia.

I'm 250 in smithing but can't find any shadowscream, but I did see Ytrium sheets.

I quickly sampled some others: no Misty picnics, no liquid meat, no Kaladim constitutional.

I certainly didn't see any EP combines.

If I do these the old fashioned way, will they get added to my list of recipies?

From what I have read... and note, I haven't got GoD Yet, much less gotten home to try it...

    1. Some Recipes are Automatically in your Recipe List/Book

    2. Some Recipes are LEARNABLE... and once you are successful in producing it, it will be added to your Recipe List/Book

    3. Some Recipes are NEVER Learnable... sorry, your quill broke off... your inkwell dryed up... the parchment tore...

      Not everything always shows.

Some items need to be "learned" as in created the "old way" once to show in your list.

Not every recipe can be learned either. Tanker (the developer who did this project) discussed that briefly here before.

I noticed that brewing is missing the LDoN recipes (Intoxication effects), Grobb Liquidised Meat, and other things.

Baking, so far from what I've seen, is missing the wolf/bear/lion/mammoth fillet in cream.

I wonder if they did this on purpose for some strange reason, or if it's just oversight on the part of the programmers...

My theory is that they did it this way so that anyone wanting to skill up from scratch still has to learn certain recipes (especially recipes/subcombines in the 'recognized' skill up path) so that they have to make at least a little bit of effort to GM the skill.

The new UI has made things so much easier, but anyone serious about becoming a GM wil have to do certain recipes at least once, the old way. Think of these as 'speed bumps' in the road to GM.

I myself have noticed no PoP recipes at all. None, nada, zip. I also attempted and made a Valor Ring today in a planar JC kit and it did not get added, or learned. It seems that the recipes from up to part of SoL and now the GoD expansion are in the TS DB, but not all, and also no PoP recipes. I hope this will get updated, or at least be able to keep recipes you already have sucessfully made. Just my 2 copper pieces worth.

Is there a way to set up a UI to list it all? Where is the data stored? Can it be listed like the storyline information?

But the thing is, even if you consider it being to slow down skillers, it also impacts the items those of us who are already GMs are mostly likely to make. NO pop baking recipes are in the list, and I have a dozen stacks of hero parts to turn into sandwiches. They aren't being learned either. I'm out of picnics, and Halas Meat Pies; they aren't there, and I have a sneaky suspicion they won't learn. And I need Qeynos Tea and Grobb's for my guild casters and melees; these are all things I make in bulk and had thought would, if not there, be learned, and it's looking like they aren't going to be. I'm a bit disappointed.

Not getting any of the LDoN smithing recipes here either, trivial or non-trivial.

Err, I take that back. I posted too hastily. They seem to be recipes that you can "learn," that once you've made them once you can make them with the new interface.

This wouldnt suprise me. It would make it too easy to do the 250+ combines to gain skill... sort of stupid...

Not saying that this is your problem, but I freaked out when I tried to get a list of tailoring recipes and the highest trivial listed was 108 (my skill is 165ish atm).

It turned out that I had to filter the trivial levels, so that only trivials between 150 and 200 were being shown.

then the ribbon recipes showed up (but not Acrylia Studded).

Update -- nothing Hero related has learned despite many many successes, so I suspect that PoP recipes just aren't flagged for whatever reason. Misty Thicket Picnics were learned on the first success (and btw, I had a truly horrible run this time) and it's actual trivial is 335. /wince

As noted in my front page update today, there's still some tweaking going on regarding what is automagic (learned) vs. what is learnable vs. what you have to do the old-fashioned way.

We'll have to wait and see what the next few patches bring us ...
