Can't you click (right or left) when you're opening a combine container to open "normally" as opposed to the new combine UI?

And I'm insanely happy...had to put off finishing the 8th shawl for my druid b/c the 7th did so much damage to my hands.

It'll be interesting to see if they really fixed tactics this time.

Now that the NDA has been lifted...
The new tradeskill UI is not part of the GoD expansion, and therefore was not covered under the NDA.

You can do that or you can click the button in the new UI window that makes it open the old UI by default and crtl-right click to open the new one.

            Good question.

            In the new UI...

At what skill level are you able to see recipe's that trivial above 250?

and what is the actual spread of levels above you that you'll be able to see?

can I see MHB at 188 where Faydwer shakers triv? or do I need to get to 198 the hard way so it's within 50 points and then visible?

            I've got questions man!

"Unless you have a modified skill level at or above the trivial level of the item you are trying to create... it will NOT add the recipe for you. In other words, for the most part, you are stuck with the classic interface for skilling up"

I certainly hope this is the way it works on live. If so I will extremely happy as it would address almost all the concerns over the new UI and greatly minimize its impact on the tradeskill community.

I can hardly wait for the servers to come up to try it out.

Ask a monk who has raised his feign death skill about that. Or ask a rogue about his disarm trap skill or his lock pick skill. Try telling them they haven't accomplished anything "special" by raising those skills to the cap.

Those skills aren't that hard on the fingers to raise using a commercially available voice controlled program. It does wonders for strategy games, FPS, etc.

Even the disarm skill you can spam as fast as your fingers can click and lag will register to raise the skill.

How can anyone expect any respect from their fellow players if they skilled up that way?
I imagine there will be the same amount of respect and accomplishment that I got skilling my enchanter's JC to 250 in the old system. That is, none.

You need to get out more. Seriously.

I am wondering Ironic, do you use control-click to select single item and drag it to the tradeskill container? If you do, I can say the same about you and say how you ANYONE feel as they've done something special, when all they've done is control-click over and over to select single item for tradeskills, instead of using the slide bar everytime? I have been doing tradeskills for last 3 years and it used to be that way. I got to 200 on most of the tradeskills using that slider method. What you have now is so much easier and I feel that you are cheating and accomplishing nothing compared to what we did in the past. /sarcasm off

It seems that everytime something goes in to make tradeskills easier, some people always feel that people who went after them have advantage and have no honor in using the new system. I don't agree with that.

If you have been doing tradeskills for at least 2 years Ironic, my apologies but if you have not and never saw the old interface, you have absolutely no right to criticize those who came after you having it easier skill up OPTION. Just my humble opinion.

                        AutoInventory

I only played with the new interface for a minute - I was out foraging in the new zones to see what I coud find. What I did see that was a surprise was an autoinventory button. If you turn that on, do your successes automatically drop into your inventory so you can just combine again? All those hours of celestial essence, heady kiola, Paeala bark tannin, etc would be gone
