  • Drinking Beer+Doing Combines= Success ?

I was doing some skillups lately in Shadowhaven. I wanted to get up brewing past 150 and fletching up to 190. So when i got my components for the brewing step, i got really bored doing comabines and decided to drink some beer to increase my alchohol tolerance, not remembering it lowers your Wis and Int and that lowers skillup chances. I used all my components and went to fletching, then i remembered. I was like , oh crap, but i decided to do combines anyways. I did about 6 combines and had 2 successess already at skill 185 at wis of 80ish, i waited awhile till my wis was back to 255 and did 2 stacks of more combines while not drunk and out of the two stacks i had 0 skillups. It was just a little funny story and maybe being drunk helps you with more skillups =)

Used to be used a lot for smithing , since it increases str.

Well, fletching uses the highest of INT, WIS or DEX. I am pretty sure dex is not effected by drinking. Hence, your skillups were based on your dex stat, not int or wis.

A sample of 26 combines is by no means a big enough sample. I would say the RNG was just nice to you while you were drunk.

I find that drinking beer in real life leads to greater success at tradeskilling. Well, maybe not, but at least you don't feel as bad for going 300+ combines between points when you are rip-roaring drunk.
