  • Sort of OT, what are tradeskills like these days?

    Broad question
I've been off EQ since last April, and once again am starting to get the itch. My server is Xegony, and I'm thinking of starting with a new dwarf pally if I sign back on.
I liked tradeskills back when I was on, and I was wondering what tradeskills are like these days, drop rates, successes, trading in the Bazaar, any market among other PCs?

    Any suggestions advice, information?

    Thank you,

    hard to answer,

Drop rates - same as ever on old stuff.... most POP combines have 1 rare component.

Bazaar - everybody know now that tradeskillers will pay for stuff, so they overcharge on EVERYTHING, and now items are tagged 'used in tradeskills' people just stick an outragious price on it.

Quests - there is a new HIG LEVEL tradeskill quest to receive an insane earing. Need all skills 220+ so a lot of high level power-skillers with endgame supplies of money are dumping hige amounts of plat into powering up their skills. Which feeds the component sellers, which drives up prices....

    But we still love it!

Also the high level tradeskill quest requires certain kill flags, like Rallos Zek for example, which would be all but impossible to get at level 44.

no. planar access period requires 46. therefore it is pure impossible at 44.

        Maker of Picnics.
Cooker of things best left unidentified.
"Grimrose points to the sky. Look! Up in the sky, it's a bird, no, a plane, no it's Picnic-Man. It's Emiamn, a mild mannered tradeskiller by day but daring handsome crime fighter at night. Spreading peace and joy to norrath with his mighty Picnics!"
