  • Changed Stationary contain name?

This morning someone said "what happened to the loom" and so I went to the Loom in PoK and found, indeed, it has become a "Sewing Kit" with 10 slots.

Is this part of the new tradeskill interface? When did it happen? Has it happened to other stationary containers?

That's weird. I did the Wu's 9-items on the loom and never noticed? Wow.

Its always been that way. When they switched Sewing Kits to Deluxe Sewing Kits, and put Sewing Kits back at 8 slots, they introduced the Looms to maintain the ability to do Wu's 3-swatch combines. They gave the impression it was a quick fix (given the anger some people had at the issue, a quick fix is a (probably) understandable response), and acknowledged (although I don't remember if it was on boards or in patch messages) that the "Sewing Kit" name on the loom was a known bug, but since the looms were functional they were pushed live. From what I can remember, the old world looms haven't been touched since they were added, and the "Sewing Kit"-named-looms bug remains.

Just out of curiosity (since when I started Loom-like containers have always been in the game), I am trying to understand why people consider this a bug.

The Loom aka Sewing kit is stationary. It functions as intended (you can make items requiring more then 8 items). I've seen several discussion on this, but still don't understand why anyone would consider it a bug, except maybe from a roleplaying aspect.

As for me, I never bother looking at the names of the container. I just open, dump stuff in and click.

Just looking for some trivia is all.
