aid grimmel skill mod question

hello all,

I'm a new member of the "trading community", first i'd like to thank everyone and especially EQTC for the work done, really impressive and usefull.
I have a question regarding Aid Grimmel quest, i try to find a confirmation on my doubt, but there is a huge mass of information, and i m sure that i missed this point, one of my friends who is working on this quest at the moment (as am i) told me that a Tradeskill level check was done, meaning that the skill mod was not taken as a count. but my question is, during the combines are the skill mod effective ?

what is "annoying" me is that i use the XTC hammer (15% mod skill) for my smithing, so i dont know what to think ? can you advice me please ?

Yes, but when you try to get the materials for the combine from the quest giver, he will insult your skill level if you do not have an UNMODIFIED 220 minimum skill level.

grats on 192 to 212 on etheral though. and yes to get the quest it takes unmodified 220. for the combine your skill mod counts though.

nice , my smithing was at 220+15% so no need to farm shadowscream !!!

dang. 220+ 15% is 253. grats you no longer have to grind points. you can just let them come as you make stuff.

yeah, i did pop shortcut and farm one day of substance and Shadows, and ding 220 ! Xtc hammer rocks.
