  • Poison Vial Prices

Prices for all three vendor sold Poison Vials (regular, Lined, and Sealed) have been changed. They now all sell for the same price: 1g 3s 2c, at indifferent faction and max charisma.

I am uncertain whether this is a bug or not.

For those who are curious, they now sell back to the vendor for 4s. Also, Vials of Viscous Mana do *not* sell back for more than the cost of the components... (I was making Wu's and thought I should check!)

I remember the vials were changed a couple of patches back, before they announced that no tradeskill combines would ever produce a profit. It was about 3 months ago I'd say, someone had posted a mention of the new price in the pottery forum. I don't think it is a bug, just an early recipe they nerfed.

Yeah. It's a nerf for my characters skilling up pottery, but a nice boon to my rogue. Also helps with anything that requires vials of mana (Wu's).

          BAH!

          Geez...

I started making poison vials months ago to skill up pottery.

At that time, Lined vials sold from a vendor for about 3PP, and sealed vials sold for about 6PP from a vendor.

So, I marked mine at 2PP and 4PP respectively. And lowered them, and lowered them, and now they sit on my trader at 1pp and 2pp respectively.

I guess this explains why they no longer sell at all right? I still have 120 lined and 240 sealed vials on my trader...

Why in the heck would they lower the PURCHASE price from the merchant? Lowering the sell back I can understand with all the nerfing going on, but lowering the Purchase price? WHY?

Excuse my while I grumble for a while, then sell those vials to a merchant for a tremendous loss of cash... *grumbles*

A number of items needed in sub-combines were lowered in price.

Some forms of metal, poison vials, flasks of water. I believe the idea was to lower the entry cost for low-level players to tradeskills.

the sketch better be only 4 sil then. that doesn't include the skin or price of clay and water. i always thought you should be able to make your own cheaper than buying from the vendor the finished product.

I thought water flasks had been cheaper lately! I remembered them being 1s, was surprised to see them set at 5c when I was working on a bit of smithing.
