npc vendors not carrying unlimited supplies?

I had an interesting thing happen to me this morning...

I was working on smithing on my halfling on Tribunal, as her tailoring is ALMOST to the point of being able to make Leatherfoot Haversacks, and now she needs to be able to make the infused ribbons for them. I was skilling up making ornate chain armor, and the vendor selling HQ ore in PoK (Vah Shir in Northern Trader Building whose name escapes me at the moment) "ran out" of Large Bricks of HQ Ore. So, I started making large bricks by combining 3 small bricks...until the NPC ran out of small bricks. The NPC in the bazaar who was supposed to carry small bricks didn't have any either. All in all, it was very frustrating, because I was not willing to pay 3x as much for and lug around blocks that I was only going to cut down.

Anyone else have this experience and/or know why it is happening?

Well, originally, ALL high quality ore was dropped, in several zones - Permafrost, Runnyeye and Sol a? Basically from some of the great goblin enclaves. So the fact that there is a merchant at all is a very Good Thing.

run to highpass. i normally get several there and enough block to do the reset 3 or 4 times when i go. bind at the merchant in pok or a bank and gate back though.

WOW!! I actually pettitioned about the Vah Shir Vendor in PoK. LOL

I am glad that there is a "fix" for this.
