Another couple of tradeskill related changes to this file on test:
3458 Recipe %1 has been added to your favorites.
3459 Recipe %1 removed from favorites.
It was added the same time as the recent AA info was.

If memory serves GoD beta ends in early Feb. Makes a mid to late Feb release quite possible. Just enough time to test a few things on the test server....

EB already lists a street date of Feb. 9 for GoD, and they have a picture of the box art already. Let me find the link ...

hate to say it, but "so?" companies have slipped on released dates many times in the past. i have beta tested several pieces of software that have missed "release" dates. also, that is the date that EB posted, not that Sony posted. big difference.

now. i am hopeing it is released sooner rather than later, but it won't be available until sony makes it available.

It was posted in another thread, that the release date on GoD at the Sony Store was Feb 10. Tried to get link, but the website isn't working properly. Shows black screen. Won't sell anything that way.

Sony hasn't missed a release date with EQ yet. In fact, many people have commented that they release unfinished products rather than change the release date. I am fully confident that I will be able to install GoD on Feb 9, for a Feb 10 switch-on.

PS: I mean that they haven't missed the release of an actual product that people pay for. They have no problem pushing back patches like the Dec 16 melee patch.

Keep in mind on the EBGames link it says "ship date of 2-9-04". With EBGames in the past, if you preorder, they ship the product overnight mail the day before so it arrives day of release.

I've not bought from their brick and mortar stores so I dn't know if they put it on the shelves the day before release but I wouldn't bet on it.

Unless of course you work there and take it home day early.

When I worked for bestbuy.com many of the preorders were shipped overnight so they arrived the day of the release. The B&M stores would also put the items on the shelf that night before close so they would be ready the day of the release. That being the case if you go there say 10-15 min before closing you can usually purchase the product the day before release.

The Everquestlive site in the Upcoming Updates section talks a little about the new tradeskill interface. It states that you will see the recipies at or below your current level along with some above it. However, it also states that if you try something that is way out of your league, the new system won't work and you will have to click and drag the old way.

So it seems that at least one of the previous mentioned concerns would be eliminated: at 191 or 202 baking, for example, most folks chose to skill-up on Misty Thicket Picnics, which trivial at <250. I would think that these would be considered out of your league for quite awhile if you started making them at 202, so no players won't be able to quickly skill-up on recipies such as this with the new interface. The question now is: at 250 skill, we can assume that the new interface would work on recipies that are trivial at 250, but are recipies which are greater than 250 trivial going to be considered "Out of your league"? That would make a difference because if say a MTP becomes clickable in the new interface to players with a baking skill of 250, yes the price would likely go down some since a player could quickly make many for selling in the bazaar. If you can't use the interface and need to click and drag the old way, it likely won't change the price much.

Either way I don't think the new system will change things too much because of this rule. It might make things a little more interesting though, especially if more recipies are added: rather than skilling up on one or two items for days on end, the new goal would be to find recipies with a higher trivial than our skill but not so high that we have to click and drag the old way. It might be a little fun for awhile as we all come up with new skill-up paths, and in the case of MTP's, maybe the price will actually rise some, since the market wouldn't be flooded by folks using the item for skilling up, and it's made only by GM's as a means of earning some pp.
