  • Absor Retires from Community Relations?!?!?!

    http://eqlive.station.sony.com/commu...w.jsp?id=59839

So my official title is now Game Designer, and you'll probably be hearing a lot less from me in the future. With my well-honed Community Management skills, I can guess your next question: "Who will be taking your place?"

Absor goes from Public Relations to game design?
I'm thinking the player base is going to have a field day with this.

:-) Well, Congrats to Absor!! Best of luck.

Now please tell me you were joking when you said you'd like to half the ZEM of every outdoor zone. My Druid Heart skipped a beat when it read that. :-(

(I for one feel that Halflings should rule Norrath, for some reason the Dev team is not with me on this).
This new guy says the right things. I'm just not sure about the Bixiebopper name .

heh ... different people have radically different ideas of what is good for the game. There are plenty of people, like me, that think that the Risk vs Reward is in general horribly skewed toward the Reward side for most outdoor zones, compared with indoor 'equivalents'.

Obviously there are plenty of people who don't agree with that point of view as well

I'd be really surprised if they actually made a change like that though - it would offend too much of their playerbase by a large extent. If anything gets done along that line, I would imagine it would be restricted to design of new content, which while still a 'nerf' (see "Launch of PoP nerfed my class!" posts archived everywhere) wouldn't be as offensive as a retroactive change, and easier to manage and control and still useful for shaping the populace.
