  • easy skill?

Hi guys I was wondering what is the cheapest and/or easyiest skill to learn. I have looked in the forums and I still am not sure which to choose.

Id say eithe rbrewing or baking. You can do brewing from 0 to 250 on 2 items (assuming 9 item combines dont scare you) 0-248 can all be done with vendor bought items and for under 1-2k. Baking can be done fairly easily but requires some items to be bought in baz or foraged (veggies, fruit, brownie parts).

      What items are these?

        Brewing:

0-122 Fetid Essense.. Water and fishing grubs... grubs can be bought near Pitt bank from the lil gnome guy.

123-187 Shar Vhal Essence Water and Payala fruit.. now, this is a foraged Item in Shadeweavers thicket. but it's also a static ground spawn... look in brewing forum for a list of spawn locations.

Minotaur Hero Brews are a nine item brewing combine. Everything you need is in one room in Halas. These trivial at 248, and with a geerlok, you are within the soft cap of 252.

Misty Thicket Picnics never trivial and have a ton of subcombines. They take foraged vegetables (1 per 10 combines), foraged fruit (1 per 72), looted brownie parts (1 per 100), and foraged/looted eggs (varries by type). Everything else, save the utensils, is sold in Shadowhaven and Rivervale. Note this recipe takes relatively low skills in brewing, smithing, and tailoring. However, all that said, it's the most bang for your buck, and is the recipe I GM'd on.

          Hope this helps.

I think there's three different answers:

The easiest (not the cheapest) is JC - all vendor bought, all 2 item combines.

The cheapest out of pocket is brewing - go the routes suggested and I'd add that at the high end Kaldim Constitutionals aren't too bad to do (although you do have to ground spawn collect)

The cheapest in total is baking - it's a cheap skill to start with, and MTPs sellback very well.

If you're after a trophy it's also worth noting that the brewing trophy is more expensive than the others; it consumes a corking device which is a few hundred pp.

Cheapest in total is not baking.

Brewing is. You can go to GM in brewing for under 500pp, try doing that in baking.

i think i run near 200pp per 200 picnics combines. alchemy components. foraged fruit and veggies here. the other stuff is too expensive.

I said cheapest in total, specifically not cheapest out of pocket. As i said, the cheapest out of pocket is brewing - thanky ou both for agreeing with me.

For that 200pp for 200 MTP combines you'd succeed on say just 50. At 10pp per picknic thats 500pp back so you're 300pp ahead....

Baking also involves hideous numbers of subcombines at the end. My stock answer to this:

Jewelcrafting if you have money to blow.
                      Brewing if you don't.

                        yeah
                        easiest jc, brewing, baking
                        cheapest brewing, baking, jc

jc will only cost about 10k if your smart about it. brewing 500p if your smart. baking is all over the chart and more a what you have available.

Of course, if you don't have ready access to an enchanter to enchant the metals, jewelcraft means you'll end up making jewelry with no stats, which is somewhat pointless.

only up to the gold step around 160ish at least. most silver and electrum doesn't sell hardly at all anyway.

JC is a bad choice if you arent an enchanter simply because when people have items they want someone to make, they will always go to an enchanter with JCM AAs.

Well ok, not a BAD choice, you can make money on higher end jewelry, and especially PoP jewelry if you can get your hands on the ingrediants.... BUT

I would go with brewing. Very cheap, and you are able to sell consumable items, so there is always a market.
Baking is also very cheap but will probably take a bit longer to GM.
