Aye, but the newbie armor quests aren't in the DB as far as I know, even though some of them are nominally tradeskill combines, so they don't show up on the search.
If I can't find something while searching the from the main page, I go to google and enter the name of the item I'm searching for in quotes, then a space, then "+everquest" (without the quotes). I can find what I'm looking for usually within the first one or two links.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every last second of it!
On the main eqtraders board, click on quests, then newbie armor quests if you want to look at those. I am pretty sure that woven spider silk is used for several of those.
Please note, that many of the Newbie Quests we had up before the Disk Meltdown were lost... we are still hoping for recovery, but no promises right now.
If we can't recover, we will re-enter them.

From the newbie armor quests I've done, the first quest container combine is what uses all the fun stuff (the woven silk, the crude bronze, the grikbar scalps, etc) and produces a single "material" item. That material + pattern in a tradeskill container is the "actual" tradeskill combine. If they were to put them in the database, the tradeskill combines of
Wristband material + wristband pattern = newbie wristband
Cap material + cap pattern = newbie cap
etc don't seem like they'd be of much value to anyone. Its the quest combines that make the material that most people are concerned about. While it would definitely be useful to have those in the database, as far as I know there is no precident for non-tradeskill quest recipes.
