  • Tradeskill changes on test...

Saw this posted on the Monk boards,. It's the new window for displaying current skill levels. You know the old window: SKill name, Rank, Value... now has 2 new colums: Edurance Cost ( for the melee changes ) and Reuse Time.

One would think the Reuse Time affects only the new melee skills and discaplines, but ALL the tradeskills listed in this window have a Reuse Time of 3:42:59 ( or 3:42:50 ).

Almost 4 hours Reuse time for tradeskills... I wonder what it implies? Bug in the new changes for test? Or something like the old language code on Firiona Vie ( where you could only get a skill up languages every X number of minutes, no matter what you do ).

Anyone have any idea what it REALLY means for tradeskillers?

It's test, 'nuff said. I wouldn't be surprised if the ability to turn left got bugged on the Test Server. Take everything from there with a grain of salt.

But thanks for mentioning the 'how it used to be' on FV, didn't know that. Isn't that the setup on DAoC? But not with skillups, for combines; the higher the skill of the combine the longer it takes to do the combine?

Pretty much. In DAoC, you get stacks of whatever is needed for your skill, you stand need the forge/loom/whatever, and you hit a hotkey for the recipe.

A timer counts down based on the trivial level of what you want to make, and then either you curse, or you have your item. I had an armorsmith in the 920s (probably equivalent to a 210 skill in EQ or so) and a combine of my level would take 90-120 seconds IIRC.

That's just the rough description obviously, but it did get rid of a lot of the clickyclickyclick.

Just in case people missed it:
13370 seconds is clearly a placeholder value of some kind.

1337 is "L E E T", and tack on a zero at the end and you have 13370 seconds.

Probably just values they forgot to initialize.
