SERIOUS Problems with GM Fletching Combines

    I've found that the type of elemental bow is a factor. PoF ones seem to have the best success rate, PoW then PoE...dunno about PoA ones as we use those components for the Grimel earring. From my experiences & some guildmates, the PoF ones run about 80% success, PoE around 40-50% with water in between.

    Lousy success rates run like that in the elemental tailoring stuff too. Silk is by far the worst, in a recent run I made 2/10 or 12 items. Leather was better with around 5/10. I'm sure they are like the bows in that certain types have better success rates then others. Really sucks with how rare (& the number required) the items for the curing agents (smithing tempers for that matter also) are.

      well my rabbits foot...

      Maybe just a coincedence, but. I had a horrible streak of no skill-ups from 212-213, with a very high number for fails. Went over 300 combines with about a 40% fail rate. Not all at once but over a period of weeks. What i was doing was getting gear and buffs to max out my dex and get wis and int as high as possible. What happend is that with the buffs and gear i had more dex than i could use. IE the numbers added up to more than my allowable max. I recalled reading somewhere about a rollover bug on stats so i though what the heck, so i started taking off gear and or buffs untill i was one or two points under my max for the dex. What a difffernce. over the next 60 attmepts i got 4 skill ups and lost only 4 combines. To this day i never max a stat, just get it as close as i can to max without going over.

        aye, i too am wondering about a possible roll over bug, because until i hit 245, i had great success with elemental combines, until i hit base 245 in tailoring and fletching. i have failed every combine since(which granted was only 9 or 10 combines but have cost like 250k) Naturally i would like to blame something cause i am very mad atm. (having blown almost all of that in the past two days) If you think they cant screw stuff up big time just look at CVT's and take a moment to reflect. Something i would like to see:

        1- a difinitive answer on how high skill caps with modifiers(if it caps at 250 and modifiers wont get you past that then there is no point in equiping a geerlok with a 250 skill)
        -a GM once told me 'i cant give that info out, you'll just have to find that out on your own' naturally i told them i didnt have the resources to get together 1 billion (or even a million) exact combines to test it, but he/she said gluck and goodday anyway

        2-for a finished product a trivial level added to the 'item lore' when identified(so that we CAN run tests against soe's numbers and try to see if thier stuff is running properly)

        3-.......mmmm i know there's more but its too early in the morning and i need to get going hehe, perhaps i'll ad more later

          Where do you guys even find elemental bows stuff for sale???

          The only stuff I have been able to get my hands on was stuff our guild got on raids, which obvisouly goes back to the guild, but I would love to be able to make a few just to sell for some cash.

          Oh yeah and just to make my on topic contribution....
          I have attempted 8 Air bows and two earth bows so far. Made 3 of the Air and one of the earth at 250 skill + geerlok
