  • Murphy's Laws, for the Bazaar

    1. The item you've been scrimping and saving for, for two months, will either stay steady or increase in price by the time you have enough money for it.

    2. Said item's price will drop 50% within a week of purchasing it.

    3. SoE will nerf an item only after you have bought it.

    4. SoE will increase the drop rate of an item only after you have bought it.

    5. SoE will drastically decrease the drop rate of an item only after you have sold it, especially if it's stacks of something that were gathering dust in your bank for over a year.

    6. The item that you want to buy NOW, that has always been plentiful and cheap in past bazaar searches, will either not be on a trader, or on just one trader for double the usual price.

    7. If you are a small race trader, you will at some point log in under a barbarian's kilt.

    8. If you find a bargain in the bazaar, it is on an AFK trader on a stall roof somewhere, inaccessible.

    9. After you find a nice spot for your trader, within 5 minutes a level 17 monk will start practicing FD, a caster will start practicing skill-ups, or a casino will begin, all within audible and spam text range.

    10. After being AFK for a long time, your trader will have a mod rod on the cursor.

    11. You will forget to click Begin Trader at least once before going AFK for the night.

    12. The great item that you just looted and want to sell, will be offered by at least 3 other traders for half the price you thought it was worth.

I'm sure there are many more rules I neglected.

    13. The hot little item that you've never seen hit the open market will go on sale for an insanely low price less than 24 hours after you spent all your bank roll on something frivolous.

      14. The item you have wanted for ages is finally available. You get to the trader just as he/she logs or goes LD.

          16. You have collected ever super hard to find component for a rare combine only to have the common as dirt components inexplicably not available...

Belive it or not, this happened to me with Blessed Fishing Poles. I usually make 2 at a time to sell, 1k each. I couldn't for 3 days last week cause there WAS NO SPIDERLING SILK!!! I even went out to farm some myself and couldn't find a spiderling in the 3 zones I went to...
