I don't know how interested people would be in your actual numeric skill value. Having an item like a Grandmaster Trophy goes a long way towards demonstrating your expertise in a given trade skill.

We used to have an article about it, but it seems to have migrated away.
The simplest way is to use F9 to get an external camera view of yourself. Then click on yourself as if you were going to inspect. You can now edit the contents of the text box.

There's an even easier way now. If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, then you can scroll "down" or back to reveal a chase view. Right-click on yourself, and voila. =)
To get back to normal view, just scroll up again with the wheel.Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade

Nihixul - this assumes you pay for magelo, and your customer has the patience and/or the processor to log off or go to windows mode and look up your magelo. EQ is the one thing I can afford to pay for right now (college students are eternally poor, often even for a while after they STOP being college students), and I'm not gonna pay for Magelo, as much as I appreciate the service, just so someone will beleive me when I say my raw Baking skill is 234.
In a general response as well...
Increasing inspections is not a desireable goal. It should be the Crafter's choice, not the customer's, to display the skill level of the Crafter. I agree it should not be automatically done in the inspect box. A targeted slash-command with ability to filter and toggle seems to be the most efficient and privacy-retaining method.
Of course, that assumes Sony perceives a need for such an option, and by then the ball is entirely out of our court.
