Has the 7th shawl Been broken?

I just today got my hands on a runed seashell for my 7th coldain prayer shawl. I combined runed seashell + small brick of Veliun in morter and pestle and got a "you cannot combine theese items in this container" message.

after a bit of investigation I found the Runed Seashell has the effect "cloud" not enduring breath. It appears as tho the quest may be broken.

Can any one confirm that its still working and maybe i just did something wrong?

From Verdandi's guide:

Runed Sea Shell: The shell that you need only drops off of sirens in Siren's Grotto and has one charge of Enduring Breath. There is a necklace that drops in Cobalt Scar and maybe also in SG that has multiple charges of EB, but it will not work. Likewise there is a shell also called a Runed Sea Shell that drops in CS that has charges of Cloud. That also will not work. You need the item called a Runed Sea Shell that has one charge of Enduring Breath and can only be found in Siren's Grotto. They are not no drop, so buying them might be a good option if you can afford it and cannot get a group sufficient to tackle the sirens in SG. They're not easy.

You just got the wrong one. The one with Cloud is for the Coldain ring quest, but you need the one with EB.

I was un-aware that there were items of the same name with different effects in the game. I understand that the Necklass has 5 charges of unduring breath and is not correct. but Untill now I've never seen (as far as I can recall) 2 items with the same name with 2 different effects.

If i remember right, its very clearly spelled out in pretty much every quest spoiler ever written everywhere ever.

Always remember to read everything, and not just skim over stuff. Theres SO much in Everquest where exact wording/spelling is important.

There are two shells with the same name but different effects - I lost several hundred plat buying the wrong one in the bazaar when I did my 7th - the worse part about it was that I knew about the two different types but the merchant selling the shells had both types mixed in with each other.
