Once a piece is augmented, can that augmentaion be removed and put in something else?

Not really a tradeskill question, you'ld get more info on another board.
But, you buy Solvent from the Magus in the wayfarer camps. Slot 1 Solvent to remove the augmentation from Slot 1, Slot 2 Solvent to remove the augmentation from Slot 2, etc.
Removing the augmentation destroys it, there is no way to re-use an augmentation.
