  • 2nd try: Vendor-purchasable, long-lasting foods/drinks

    Hi again. A while back I opened a thread to identify all the vendor purchasable foods and drinks which were better than the standard "a meal" and "a drink". That is, sold from an NPC vendor as part of their normal inventory. That thread got a little off course and eventually it was recommended that I could use the database to figure out which were purchasable. Unfortunately the database does not contain any of these purchasable foods that were mentioned so that didn't help.

    The NPC vendor purchasable foods/drinks which were mentioned were:

    Fizzlecutter Formula 5000 -- enduring drink sold by Ping Fizzlecutter in West Freeport newbie area.

    Elven Trail Mix -- Hearty meal sold in Kelethin

    Deep Cavern Toadstool, Louie's Thick & Hearty -- Haggle Baron Dry`din in Chardok

    Bladder of Otter Milk -- Refreshing Drink sold by Otters in CS

    Clamcakes -- Hearty meal sold by Otters in CS

    Iron Rations -- Just about everywhere

    Can anyone think of any other long duration foods or drinks sold by NPC vendors as part of their normal inventory?

    And if you are interested in all the foods/drinks and their durations, see this thread which covers it nicely.

    Please no replies about foods which can be made with the baking skill. And please no replies about things which can be bought from traders in the bazaar.

    Your thread got moved to OOC, since it doesn't relate to tradeskills. I believe you will find it there alive and well.

    And cross posting is {against the board rules}

      Warrenn,

      there was no need to open a 2nd thread, and since it is not relevant to tradeskills it belongs in OOC.

      Let me make a suggestion. Take the long list of foods from the thread that discusses durations, cross off everything that you know is baked or foraged, and start verifying what's left...post the revised list in your original thread, and ask people to help you confirm which ones are vendor purchased (or not.) This should net you much faster results.

      Please do not open a third thread.
