What vendors sell unlimited rat whiskers? Are there any in West Freeport?

    Thanks

None to my knowledge. Just like bone chips, you gotta get em yourself. Try Misty and Rivervale.

      THERE IS.

In Kith Forest, there is a merchant named Jeena Firechaser. She is in a house in the southern half of the zone, west of the Kithicor man.

      She sells unlimited rat whiskers.

Great for fixing faction! WOOT. Gogo noob quest.

If there's another in a less dangerous zone (those dumb night mobs are nasty even to a low 40s char!), please do spill. ^_^!

Don't pvp someone who comes from the same home city as you while in that home city. You ruin faction. It's not fun to fix.

Ermmm, don't most of those quests have an equivalent faction penalty? I noticed the one in East Freeport makes the Militia like you more but the Paladins like you less. Admittedly, I din't try looking for a similar quest in North Freeport, but I'd assume it's the reverse.

Errmmm, that's fine and all, but my question perhaps stated a little more clearly is "Since the one rat whisker quest I attempted had both positive and negative faction adjustment, could someone who has done some others say for certain if they have both postive and negative as well?"

The only one I remember for sure is the Felwithe quest, which improves faction with Anti-mage and Merchants of Felwithe, but has no negative hits.

The Felwithe one is what i've been doing. When I ally that, I plan on moving to Kaladim for a while....

Freeport, and possibly Qeynos as well, seem to operate on the 'see-saw' principle; there are opposing factions, and you can't please both at the same time. /shrug. I don't spend a huge amount of time in Antonican cities, so I know less about them than I ought.

Actually there are ways to please both at the same time, but they require care. For example: Slaughtering orcs in EC and WC fixes paladin faction, slaughtering gnolls in blackburrow fixes qeynos guard faction (and handing in the fangs raises guard and lowers corrupt gaurds - better to hand fangs in in Halas where it raises merchant, warrior and shaman factions), and handing in Gnoll and Orc scalps and Left goblin ears in highpass raises corrupt guard faction from both sides of the continent.

My shadowknight aftre some work can walk the streets of Freeport, except the East freeport slums where there's some... weird factions (an ogre on halas shaman faction in one of the bars for example). The Qeynos guards still take a dim view of 5 levels worth of slaughtering treants (oh, and learning to FD split exping on them as well), but that's their problem not mine

Running amuck in Runnyeye is the best way to fix Rivervale faction (not that I MEANT to be welcome by the halflings mind you, it just worked out that way). My shadowknight can actually walk the streets of Rivervale as long a he stays away from the druid guild. And yes, he's a dark elf.

Edit: I'm not more mature so there

Edit that to a less juvenille word, please.

It's offensive and ignorant. I know that you are more mature then that, Kiztent.

Actually, ONE of the Neriak ones does not have a negative faction hit. That is with the Troll in the Foreign Quarter to raise Grobb Merchants. The Exterminators in the other two parts of town which raise Dark Elf factions do have a faction hit against Primordial Malice.

Confused by all this. What exactly do rat whiskers have to do with faction? I presume it has something to do with all the rodents that are wandering most cities. Do you hand in whiskers to someone? Who? Mainly concerned with Felwithe (anything to drop the cost of mithril), and I doubt Kelethin would be affected, as we don't seem to have that rodent problem.

Each starting city now has an exterminator somewhere inside it, and a large number of vermin running loose. Kill the rats, collect the whiskers that drop, and hand them in to him in groups of four.

Gukta is a little different in that the vermin there are spiderlings (be careful not to accidentally attack the only slightly larger RED con domesticated spiderling that wanders in the same areas as the level 1 spiderlings), and the items you have to hand in are spiderling eyes (which, unlike the whiskers, do not stack ).
