New Taanan Mastery - now what?

I purchased my first level of New Taanan Mastery last night (already 250 GM in jewelry and want to move baking from 200 up to 250).

I attempted around 50 Vann Toe Stews and was successful with about a third of them. However I never got a single skill-up. My INT is 280.

Was I just unlucky or is there something else I have to do before my skill will jump from 200 to 201?

(I did not attempt any other skillups in other tradeskills even though I have 200 in most of them so I didn't accidentally bump up a different tradeskill accidentally.)

This will probably be moved to the Baking forum, however, try sticking close to your skill level. The further your skill level on combines is, the more costly it could become not to mention the frustration and less skill ups you'll receive.

There is always that chance you did have a unlucky RNG.

I would suggest trying Ohabah Truffles to get your skill over 200.

it is just luck.

I did the same thing with tailoring. it was the last trade to break the 200 barrier, sure I had Tannan Mastery 6 but when I passed 100 combines without hitting the magic 201 I checked to make sure I did click the skill ( a few times ).. I kept at it and at 140 or so it did ding.

201 is the most nerve wracking number.

I had almost exactly the same experience as Jaasper...I had done enough attepmts to begin thinking something was wrong when I hit 201. Unfortunatley the same thing has happened with 202 and 203, lol.

This might kill your wrist but i did MTP all the way from 191 to 250!

Make MTP till 250, its got to be the fastest way...
(trust me, I've done baking on 9 characters hehe)

50 combines is not enough to make me think it's more then bad luck.

In fact after my recent Minotaur brewing run I consider myself to have extreamly poor luck. It took me 922 combine to go from 198 to 199.
