Somehow its not rare, but how?

There is a seller in the bazaar that comes up with 18 to 19 iron oxide every day. If it was 5 today, 15 tomorrow, etc i would assume it was farming. But its, 18 or 19 every day. There must be some way to get the oxide consistently because this guy does it. He does not return my tells. I keep buying it every day. Any he keeps getting more. So, how does he get the oxide consistently every day? Is the ground spawn rate 18 per day in steamfont, plus one or two drops from steamfont elements? Is there another groundspawn area?

He's probably doing like I do while selling researched spells; don't flood your market so you keep the price profitable. He has a larger stock and is only putting a stack or so up at any one time, probably to keep buyers willing to pay his price and discouraging other sellers from buying him empty and reselling at a higher price. My guess anyway.

Depending on your level, you can start in Najena and end up in the Grey.

I recommend to kill the elementals in Steamfont while you are looking for the groundspawns. Drop rates for IO are not great but I get one now and then (one yesterday, actually).

Go to the Hole.

You will get at least 5 per hour killing constructs and ghosts.

If you AE you can get many more.

I have been getting iron oxides for about a month now(slow way to skill up but good profit). I pick them up twice a day...so spawn is no more than 12 hours. I have found 6 spawn spots(hope I am not missing any). I buy them in the bazaar when I can find them for 50pp or less.

Twilight Sea is the best and fastest away to get them. The island they spawn on ONLY has elementials just kill them all and keep looting. YES you will get KOS to them but if of level to kill them easily who cares. When I use to kill them I would get 5-10 per hour. I would be wiping at the whole island when I did them but drop rate wasn't too bad. There are all 4 types of elementials there so to start kill the earth/fire ones and when they get scarce kill the air/water ones to help respawn the ones you want.

If you really want them that is the easiest place to get them. Mobs have around 900 hp if not mistaken.
