i've looked, and what the XML says just doesn't make any sense to me. So many numbers, positioning coordinates... scares me that if i get something off in the math, BOOM! crashy of eq. Plus I can't seem to figure out what any individual command controls, and where this specific 'thing' is displayed on the screen....

given time, yes, i could learn it, but at the moment.... /twitch.

If you really want to learn XML, there are dozens of tutorial sites and hundreds of books on the subject.

You can download freeware XML editors.

And the guys at Sony thoughfully provided the Schema for the EQ-specific items in your EQ directory.

It just takes some time and fiddling.

One undocumented feature I found. It used to be that if you brought up a new item information window, it replaced the old one that was up. Now, it brings up a new window for each item. That means you can put item stats side by side and compare between them. Very convenient.

Limited to four item windows open at one time, but still very handy, especially when comparing multiple options of a new piece of equipment.

I wish it were a toggleable option though.

Sometimes I just want to rapidly click through a large number of links. Having to close all the windows is a pain in the butt then.

You don't have to close them. Once you get to four, the next link you click overwrites the first you clicked.

Actually - I think that it overwrites the most recently opened link. Not that there is a big difference of course!

I for one like this new feature. Especially when comparing gear. I can't remember how many times I would work to get 2 links on screen in a place they would not scroll away - and then flip back and forth tring to compare a stat or two on them. Extra-difficult on items with lots of stats too.

Also, did anyone mention that spells will now show the level of the spell for those that cannot use the spell? This is a great boon for me - as I am a junkie at checking vendors for saleable stuff - and was always without a clue as to what spells May be worth buying. Of course - there is still no guarantee that I will be able to re-sell a high level spell - but now at least I wont guess and buy a low-level spell!

And yes, the spell level displayed on scrolls make it so much easier to merchant mine now.
