  • Wisdom-based character needs INT advice

A long while ago, I asked about getting myself a Wisdom suit, as my character is a Ranger, and I got great advice.

    Thank you all!

I have a friend who is an enchanter who has decided he'd like to get his jewelcraft up, for the purely pragmatic purpose of getting that trophy. I hope in the process he decides to dabble elsewhere, but I did want to help him even if he does this one task and never hits "combine" again.

Anyway, I suggested, since his normal everyday wear has his INT around 215, that he should take steps to get to 255.

I know nothing about enchanters or intelligence-based items, so i thought you all could enlighten me and indirectly, him.

He has told me that the following slots have no intelligence on them in his default gear:

    legs
    waist
    shoulders
    one ring
and that the following slots have +5 or less:

    Feet (+2)
    Back (+4)
    the other Ring (+5)
    Wrist (1) (+5)
    Head (+3)
    Face (+3)
    Ear (+5)

As always, your help is greatly appreciated, and perhaps someday my friend will have the courage to post here himself and proudly call himself a tradeskiller!

Note, I also plan to search the bazaar and magelo, but I have found the constructive advice of EQ Traders to cut right to the quick -- what is cheaply priced and easily gotten. That's much harder to get from a DB than from a group of learned experts!

    Thanks,

You don't mention if you are on a budget, but he could pick up GEBs for feet (I've seen them in bazaar recently for less than 2k on CT) which is 9INT, a Bracelet of Comprehension for the wrist for 15INT, and for pants, shoulders etc, look at cultural chain if he's a dark elf or high elf.

Sorry, yes, well, he's poor and I'm fairly rich, but my desire to subsidize him only goes so far. I suspect I should add "fairly cheap" to the criteria!

With my Wisdom suit, for example, folks wisely recommended the Othmir Fur Cap, as a nice way to get +6 wisdom inexpensively. I've since graduated to a Tigeraptor Skullcap, which is +8 wisdom, but those two additional points were pretty pricy.

Given that my friend has 215 Intelligence and I do NOT think he's using stat foods, it seems like he only needs 30 points or so to max out [I am sooooooo jealous, BTW, sitting at 233 wisdom after lots of effort, with an almost entirely different set of clothes that make me look like a hand-me-down druid].

So a guide to the stuff that provides a high INT/cost ratio is ideal.

      Thanks,

      Andy

p.s. The GEBs are a good idea and I can lend him mine. For a day they went down to 1.5K on my server and I am kicking myself (with one pair) for not buying both.

best bet is to stalk bazaar searches for a few days plugging in INT and race/class. This will help you find items and get an idea of their worth.
