  • Forage tips

Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone might help me with something.

I have noticed little zone "quirks" as far as foraging goes.

For example, in EK when trying to get tea leaves, one spot is guaranteed to get me better results. That spot, is by the river between the village and the druid ring. I have proven time and again, I forage consistantly more tea leaves there than anywhere else in the zone.

Does anyone know of a similar spot in POG for foraging Branches of Planar Oak?

Usually when I forage in POG I sit by the water and fish at the same time, and tend to bring along other things to tradeskill as well, like silks to turn into thread/swatches or stuff for celestial essence.

I've never noticed any kind of sweet spots in any zone for foraging, usually because I wander around so much. I usually stay in one spot in POG for an hour or so, fishing or doing other things until my bait or patience runs out, and I frequently get about 3 or 4 branches in that time.

I've definately noticed some sweet spots.

Running around getting pelts/silks/taking down the odd HG in EK, I'm lucky to get a tea leaf an hour.

Fishing that stretch of river in EK, I get around a dozen in an hour

Of course, this is on my Ranger with 200 Foraging.

      /sigh

Was hoping not to have to have my ranger parked in POG hitting forage every two minutes forever while playing my wizard (2 accounts).

seems to be the opposite for me in EK.. if I'm just at the bridge doing nothing but foraging, I'll end up with about 3-4 an hour, but if I'm running around silk farming, I'll get about 7 or so an hour.

          There are no 'sweet spots'.

The coding they would have to put in the game to have to check your /loc every time you foraged to see if youre in certain zones to increase the chances of you getting 'rare' items?? Youve got to be kidding me....

*throws another post in the RNG bin*

          Forage
          Sit
          Camp

Which that was an AWESOME tip Splunge. Ended up getting myself a stack of leaves on my Druid in about 2 hours worth of foraging doing it that way. Only thing is after so many /camp's EQ wouuld have a spaz and toss me out to Server select making me have to close out EQ and start it back up. No real biggy, still got myself back IG in less time than the forage button takes to repop.

Um, no I am not kidding.

I have foraged/brewed 1000's of the leaves now. And that rule always holds true for me.

                Ditto...

I made a twink druid for the express purpose of feeding items to my main. Tea leaves I always find in abundance either near the river, or very close to the zoneline for the Gorge of King Xxorb.

Of course, I have enough plains pebbles to build a palace. I really need to get her to 29 so she can imbue 'em.
