I am editing this a bit to get peoples ideas on some of the ways messages are shown, and logged in EQ.
My idea regards the "looted" text you get when someone is looting a corpse.
The way the current string that is sent to the EQ client, when looting something is:
--Player has looted a Some Piece of Loot.--
My idea was to extend this string to contain the name of the mob as well, something like this:
--Player has looted a Some Piece of Loot from a npc name.--
Reason for this, was to benefit us tradeskillers, especially EQ Traders Corner, because you would then be able to parse the logs, not only to show what zone you got various items from, but also what NPC's the items dropped from.
I know that Verant / SOE changed the way damage messages were shown, to benefit various DPS parsers, I would think they would look favorably on this as well.
What do the rest of you think?
