  • Expensive Correction

    At the URL: http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_item.php?item=1445

    The information is as follows:

    Vial Of Clear Mana
    MAGIC ITEM
    WT: 0.1 Size: TINY
    Class: ALL
    Race: ALL
    stackable
    NPC's sell this at 73p5g
    NPC's buy this at 13p3g3s3c
item lore: enchanter makes with Clarify mana spell (lvl 29)

    Corrections should be:

The correct spell is Thicken mana which is a 12th level Enchanter spell and it requires a Pearl, instead of the Emerald. Just to make sure I had someone looking over my shoulder to keep from making a worse error. I couldnt find a corrections thread anywhere so I thought I would post here and soon. Im working on my smithing and will need another 200 vials, so I go to the page for recipe and buy 4 stacks of Emeralds to begin combining. Something seemed wrong and then when I saw what spell it called for I bought a few Pearls (going from memory) and made a few combines and noted my Chanter was still setup for the vials and the spell is Thicken mana (plus my Chanter is only level 16, so I knew that was wrong too).

Hopefully this will save someone else from buying the 13p each Emeralds (or the 272p per stack) and having no other need for them. The site is a little confusing at first but its starting to look good with all the info at a glance.

    Err... No???

Thicken mana is level 12. No doubt. Also uses a pearl, as you mentioned.

But we were talking about THIS ( http://lucy.fnord.net/spell.html?id=540&source=Live )

To, um, clarify what Lilosh said: there is a series of chanter Mana spells. Thicken Mana is one, and Clarify Mana is another. There are others, like Purify Mana, Distill Mana, etc.

The current DB shows the following:

Clarify Mana with an Emerald - Produces -> Vial of Clear Mana

Crystallize Mana with an Peridot - Produces -> Vial of Cloudy Mana

Distill Manawith two Sapphires - Produces -> Vial of Distilled Mana

Purify Mana with four Rubies - Produces -> Vial of Purified Mana

Thicken Man with a Pearl - Produces -> Vial of Viscous Mana

        I have NO Enchanter Character.

I do believes these are correct, but if not, they can be corrected.

Having made more mana vials than I care to count, I can say Krazick is correct in his spell listings.
