Hello everyone,

I've been lurking this forum for a few weeks now thought i would introduce myself and ask a question or two.

Reading through the PoP bow post I see people with massively high combine attempts. (i.e. 9/17 on stonewoods). Where are you guys coming up with that much material? I have yet to see any string material (except PoN silks) in Bazaar which sell so high that the 2 required for string make it more than the bow is worth. My Guild will be heading to PoA soon for epic stuff so I hope to be seeing the air silks but the fiend gut seems impossible to obtain at this point. Im an unflagged 61 so I'm not even sure if i could go to the place this stuff drops. Do you think any of this stuff could be found on vendors. Yeah I know, wishful thinkin' :roll:

Anyways, thanks for all the advice and I'll be 250 soon, currently sitting on 247. Farmed acyrila and made arrows all the way. have gone 5/6 on PoN bows and 2/2 on BFTs. Was 2/3 on Nightmare bows and 1/1 on BFT at 226 w/ geerlock.

Most guilds that are Planes capable, farm those zones extensively or have been in the Planes for awhile. Hence the big amount of finished product.

Do you think any of this stuff could be found on vendors.

Heck ya. Especially go looking after Server-ups (like today because of the Patch). People find rare stuff, although not all time and never in a huge quantatity.

PoK, PoT, Bazaar....I've found stuff in Kelethin before, it can turn up in some pretty random places at times.

The answers will vary server to server. On mine, there are only a few guilds in the elemental planes. Those guilds farm them, yes. However they also have a lot of members who want bows. So the first cut of ingredients goes to them. The next cut probably gets turned into finished bows that can be sold either for individuals or for guild funds.

While some ingredients show up in the bazaar, on my server you never every see the string ingredients there, and I don't expect you will for a while at least.

The Plane of Air/Sky that they're refering to as going for "epic's" is not the same as the PoP Plane of Air. Nothing for the PoP Elemental bows drops there. Still worth going as the parts for the ranger only Dark Cloak of the Sky drop there. 50% self buff haste as a right click.

Fiend Guts seem to only drop from the Fennin Ro event mobs from what has been posted on the boards.

None of the Elemental Planes are accessable without flags unless you're a guest on a raid where 85% of the raid does have the flag. The flag list needed to access the planes is long but ends with Rallos Zek/Agnarr/Solusek Ro. Yes, some of the items can be found on vendors. Obsidianwood bow staffs are common since lots more of them drop than will ever have fiend guts to go with them. Chances of vendor diving and finding all the parts to make a bow are slim and prices in the Bazaar will be high.
