Fiend Gut Bow Strings

I was wondering if anyone has noticed if the elemental bow strings have a higher fail rate than say the nightmare bow string. I have 160 in tailoring and have yet to fail a string for a nightmare bow (32 strings made), but being as how I have tons of the other componants and only a few guts, I would really like to know if I should invest a week or so bumping up tailoring before I try to make the strings so my brother with 250 fletching can attempt some elemental bows.

I think they do, but nobody's sure what they're trivial is yet. I know somebody who's taking tailoring to 250 before trying to make any (but I think they wanted 250 tailoring anyways, not sure though)

Trivial for 250

I've made about a dozen bow strings from Plane of Fire & Plane of Earth with no failures, with effectively 252 in Tailoring.

FYI, we usually get a half dozen or so Fiend Guts every time we do the Fennin Ro script, and none from random mobs in the zone.

I've made 39/40 earth bow strings and 12/12 air bow strings at 250 tailoring skill.

With the rarity of fiend guts, I personally would find someone at the hard cap to do the combine.

You should be fine, I have yet to fail a String combine at 162 tailoring.

Are fiend guts the most rare of the string components? Just wondering because I've been pulling my hair out trying to get a couple of ANY (except the nightmare arachnid silks) planar bow string components and found a fiend gut in the bazaar tonight for a price that made my heart stop.

The trivial on the strings is 165 tailoring. I've made about 100 various elemental strings and failed only once, starting at 154 tailoring with a geerlok and 305 WIS.
