fiend guts and obsideanwood bow

Checking in the bazaar, there are vendors selling the parts needed to make an attempt at an obsideanwood bow for about 7k each with the exception of fiend guts. I would have no reservation about spending this kind of money even if it takes 4 or 5 attempts to make the bow, but I'm only flagged for PoS and PoV and no where near reaching other planes so I'd have to rely on people selling stuff in the bazaar. What is the likelihood that someone would be selling fiend guts? What kind of price would someone want for them? Or are they the key piece needed and anyone who manages to loot one (if they're semi rare) would automatically use it for bows within their guild?

Fiend guts ONLY drop from the fennin ro event, and typically a guild would get 1 to 4 or so if they are lucky; seeing 2 are needed per bow string and most guilds have alts and whatnot or sell the finished bows for huge amounts of plat. I wouldnt hold my breath waiting on anyone to be selling them in the bazaar.

Anyone that buy any elemental plane tradeskill parts in bazaar is getting rip off.

All elemental tradeskill has a rare part.

Rings - eyes.
Bows - fiend gut, vines (water/air kinda like e'ci ice/air silk)
Silk armor - saps
Leather armor - the smithing parts
Smith - substance, fishgill, air smithing items (don't remember names atm), earth is farmable.

So basically, until you can find those on bazaar vendors, dont buy anything, cuz you might never seen the rare parts. Once you have rare parts, everything else is easy imo. --- Here

It seems that very few elemental tradeskill items can be made without hunting in difficult areas, or very specific mobs. As far as bows go:

Air: The silk drops off spiders, a few are roams/guards down low, but main bulk is on the 4th isle, and the event that spawns the avatar. Getting any amount of silk is only going to happen if a guild raids there. Its not possible to take a couple of groups and do it.

Fire: Fiend guts drop off the Omnifiend, and in Fennin Ro script. Large raid force needed.

Earth: Vegrog vines drop off vegrogs, most of which are in the back part of the zone. There is a roamer that can also drop them, but its rare. Getting a group to the back part is insanely hard. Everything sees invis, lots of traps, and stuff in earth hits very hard, and has a lot of hp. Ring events in earth are buggy as hell, and not worth doing unless right after a patch, as you can spend a couple hours killing it all, then never have the boss become targetable. So not a lot of people bothering to go over and do the vegrog part with a raid sized force.

Water: Dunno, i hate this zone, raided some but havent seen parts for cams, bows, or strings.

Of all the 4 bows, the bow from Air is going to be the most plentiful. We have equipped anyone in my guild that wants one. Last trip to 4th island i got enough silk to make 15 tries at bows, and made 10 of 15.
