    Nope. Didnt help at all.
For the bajillionth time, the ONLY thing that matters whether you SUCCEED a combine or not is your SKILL in that trade. you can have *0* in all stats and youd have the same success rate as if you had 355 in all stats.
Stats (wis/int/str/dex) ONLY affect your rate of skillups.

LOL but high stats make people feel good

Realy though, when I do a combine for someone they always ask about my stats and skill <shrug>. When they ask if they can bring their Shammy friend along to buff my dex, I always say ok... as I always go hunting after the combines LOL.

Oh and 5/5 Nightmare bows and 5/10 on BFT's. I have not had the chance to do the other PoP bows.

I'm going to try your DW fail method as soon as I gather some more pow staves - will report back with how it goes.

My first bow was a sucesss, and as for the next 3 so 4/4 Stonewood Compound Bows.
Then it began to get worse. 3/5
Then for fun, I opened a bow making contest with Julia : result draw game. Both of us 0/3.
          The Next Day 1/5.

          Total :
          8/17 Stonewood Compound Bow.
          0/0 Featherwood Compound Bow.
          0/0 Obsidianwood Compound Bow.
          0/0 Primordial Driftwood Compound Bow.
          ?/1 Signet Featherwood Compound Bow.

Stats have no impact on your chance of success or failure when practicing tradeskills. (Only your current skill is supposed to impact your chances of success or failure when creating an item.)

Wouldn't stats impact if you were sitting at 250 skill and the bow trivialed at, say, 260? B/c then wouldn't it act like a skillup and not just a combine?

No. The chance to get a skill-up is a seperate check.

The chance to make an item is determined only by your skill (modified by any skill enhancers).
