  • Stats...

Okay, I've tried many different combinations of stat levels and the results aren't changing... Beginning to wonder if Fletching even has a specific stat to increase. Today I had 280 STR DEX WIS, yes 280 WIS... and still 120 combines resulted in 3 points. The week before I got 3 points in 60 combines but then I had a 107 combine drought before I got the next point and I had 280 STR DEX AGI STA WIS that day. I'm currently sitting at 238 doing Acrylia Arrows.

Welcome in the wonderful world of the RNG.

1 point on 40 combine as an average is a standard as far as i can tell. Though I happened to perform 100 combine without a skill up too.

Stats for fletching are DEX or WIS or INT, equally efficient.

Do not expect to get to 250 as easily as you got to 200 just because you have high stats. They will help you a bit, but not prevent you from having bad luck, nor make the way up to GMastering that fast.

      Hi Daylar.

The short answer is yes, it's a total pain. The fletching nerf REALLY made it a lot harder to skill up. I've started telling people that unless they really need something to be done regularly, it's easier to make arrangements with an existing 250 fletcher.

I got stuck at the same point in fletching a couple weeks ago. The one change I made was, that I realized 290 int wasn't high enough so I raised it to 310 with innate enlightenment. That really helped with skill ups.

Oh, I'm just doin this for myself and the guild really Something I've been wanting to do. But what I don't get his how people are getting so many points off making Bows than they do making Arrows... Is there really that much of a difference on a consistant basis? I read the latest report of someone taking the bow route to 250...

I think you have a lot of people saying things about the pre-nerf days. I don't think that many people have skilled up post-nerf that we can draw a lot of definitive conclusions on what's better in terms of combines-per-skill-up. I know a lot of people like to draw conclusions on anecdotal evidence, but personally I like to see a lot of data before I say that something is true.

I've done all my skill-ups from 205 to 220 in the post nerf days. Stats were 255 wis, 179 dex. I was averaging 60 combines on darkwood bows (no cam, one cam, 2 cam) with one run where I went 170 without one. Did approximately 1000 combines so I'm not sure if this is really a valid sample yet.

On a good note at the end of the run I was tired and grumpy and tried the trophy for the heck of it and succeeded.
