I found a nice chart on how to gain skill in fletching at a low cost. So I went about trying to get my skill up and was doing well (122) till I had to move to my next upgrade for skill. I needed to find wood vane flights according to the chart. I have looked everywhere and can’t find the flight. I have found wood vane shafts but not flights. I even look on eqtraders sight and it says they should be for sale in ketta. But when I went to the arrow guy in ketta he didn’t have any ether. Can anyone tell me where to find the flights?

I think I used to get these from the fletching merchant near freeport (EC I think?). They look like shafts, which throws people the first time

Thats the best I can do sorry

Attriel is right, the Vanes do NOT look like the previous "feather-like" parts. Vanes look like shafts because there is a limit to what you can do with a graphic that small. Usually, they are stocked in the slots right after the Round, Parabolic, and Shield Fletch. If you are looking at a arrow supply merchant's stock and you see Wooden Vane than it's what you are looking for.

In real life, The Fletch is a feather like piece that is about 3.5 inches in length. A Vane sticks up less from the shaft but is 10-18 inches in length (~one third the length of the shaft). The purpose is to decrease drag while giving more stability to the arrow. Thus they are more accurate at increased distances. They also pack better since the flight doesn't stick out as far.
