  • Chunks of Condensed _________

Where is the best farming? (i.e. Most chunks in the least amout of time) I'm a 65 Mage so I can farm just about anywhere. I was in Twilight last night killing Vas Ren and only got 3 chunks of ice in about 2 hours so I already know thats out.

I prefer to hunt the Shak Dratha in Shadeweaver's Thicket personally. They drop a lot of shade silk and chunks of condensed shadow.

Umbrous toilers in ME drop the condensed shadow pretty nicely.

              Hello-

I have no idea where the condensed drops - other than what people have said here. I have been buying Every piece I find on merchants for well over a year now - and have used a bunch - but probably have around 35 stacks (mostly shadow) stored on an alt. Ice is - in my opinion the rarest - I'm not sure I even have one full stack of the stuff. I have also noticed a steep decline in the availability on merchants - but I do still find it.

"Ah - what's this? - I see - more condensed shadow. Maybe its time to start making some arrows now..."

Don't forget to look for complete arrowheads on the merchants near forges, I frequently skill up smithing that way since it's cheap and then sell the arrowheads to merchants to get my costs back. I generally about break even from what I would have made just selling the condensed shadows.

                    Condensed in Shadeweaver

I also farmed there in SWT last night and got 47 chunks of condensed shadow and 10 full stacks of the shade silk. I went back this morning and all the camps were then the Gor Taku. No luck on them then it seems. Not sure how to get the Shak Dratha's to respawn though, but once I figure it out will let others know. I figure just slaughter the Gor Taku's but not really for sure since the Gor Taku did not respawn after my massive onslaught last night

I am a 51 magi so my pet helps that is for sure Only one mob conned dark blue to me and that was the Warlord at spawn number 6 on the EQAtlas.

I have my rangers fletching at 177 and am hoping that once I get my trivial up to 202 that I will have enough materials to pound to 250. Needless to say w/out a lot of cashflow and being non twinked, I am farming what I can to get my skills up Making the items seems to be the cheapest way than buying the arrowheads already made.

In the Scarlet Desert, Tro Jegs drop condensed fire, Cral Ligi drop the ice. I don't think shadow drops there. The Cral Ligi seem to be the lowest level and go down pretty fast. Tro Jegs are a bit higher level and proc a 200pt Fire DD.

It's a bit more dangerous, but the spawns are pretty static. The Cral Ligi camp is up out of the ditch (coming from Twilight Sea) to your left. That whole area is crawling with them.

Tro Jegs are out of the ditch to the right and kind of wander that area. If you pass the Revenent camp and grab a spot on the wall, you can pull there till the cows come home.

It's a great XP zone for the mid-upper 40's as everything is blue.

As an added bonus, the Bloodtribes drop acrylia once in a while.
