  • Fletching - Most Expensive Tradeskill?

After all of the global drop updates that the other skills have received (Jewelcraft on Uncut Gems, Pottery on Silks, Smithing on Ores, Research on Binding Powders, Tailoring on Silks/Pelts, and Tinkering on Loams/Spinneret Fluids), is there nothing available that makes skilling up in Fletching more economical? As a Necro, special arrows are out and even trying to find the bow staffs in the Bazaar is almost impossible...

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Agreed. The only thing easer (and still cheap, but not cheaper) would be to re-roll as a wood elf or Karana worshiper.

Pet classes do well in PoWater, why not farm the parts for the Primordial Driftwood Bows. They tribute for 50k and sell well and quickly. It does need a forage from PoInnovation (clockwork grease), pottery made grease jars, tinkered cams, smithed gears/bolts but it is a way to make cash as you go.

The clockwork grease is only available from the spell merchant if players have sold it to him. It does drop from steamworks in FM, SHIP and steam factory, probably MMM too.

If you do find a stash of grease on a vendor there, sometime it helps to leave a single grease on them. This way if someone else comes along and sells grease to them, they'll keep up on the shelves and available for sale. If they don't have a slot for grease and are currently fully stocked, any grease they get will poof. The drawback to this strategy though is anyone else can come along and buy up the entire stock (include the one you left behind) and ruin it for everyone else.

Go to blightfire moors. Slaughter mass quantities of treants. Collect mass quantities of Dry Treant Branches, Straight Oak Treant Branches and Straight Treant Branches. (Let the Rotwood Treant Branches rot, they aren't good for this.) Make mass quantities of PoR bows. (Do a search for those three types of treant branches to find the recipes, there are many)
