Greetings,
I have been away from EQ for some time and came back recently and have a renewed interest in tradeskills. My main back when I played was an enchanter, but I decided to start over. I noticed all the trophys I was doing seemed to suck evolving them. I changed my main back to my druid which I played back when I first played EQ. Here is something interesting I tried hoping to "outsmart" the system but apperantly it didn't work and on top of it I haven't seen this post.
I started with a zero fletching skill. Got up to 50, did the trophy. Went to 200 (made sure not to buy any aa's to let it go past.) I was able to get the trophy to expert but it stopped evolving. I was hoping at the time I could just skill up on class 6 arrows but I guess they thought of that...
I figured this would happen but I decided to test it. On a good note, now I am working all my tradeskills over again on my 4th toon so it appears TS are even more fun now. My wrist can handle it with the new easy combine system instead of the old just brute force combines.
If anyone was interested in trying this or if it was already posted (searched around and didn't find it.) I hope this helps you out.
