Horse Hoof drop rate

Decided to max out fletching trophy so need the horse hoofs. Where is the best place to collect these? Have been killing the 2 sergeants in blightfire for several hours and havent seen one. Could have sworn they dropped frequently off these guys but has been a while.

I was farming Janx and Strall a few days before SoF went live. The drop-rate seemed a lot poorer than it did a couple months ago. (Sorry, I don't have any real numbers to support this "sense".)

I can confirm that hooves are still dropping off of them as of today, but not with any noticeable improvement in frequency.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them drop in the zone off of South Ro where the level 55 aura quest is done. I'm not sure of the drop rate or how many horseys there are, but just a thought if you are looking for another place.

Thanks for the replys, as of now have spent about 7 hours at sergeants and have gotten 9 hooves. that seems really low for the number of times killed.

The Ruins of Takish-Hiz has three horses that can drop hooves. (Four if you count the named than can spawn in one of their stead.) I believe they are on a 20-minute respawn timer. The drop rate isn't any better than the Sergeants in Blightfire but those horses are about 10 levels higher than the red boney boys and the Sergeants' respawn timer is twice as fast (10 minutes, confirmed) as the nightmares.

These also drop from the nightmares in the Loping Plains (or, as they are to me, the Lagging Plains), along with low, medium and high quality horse skins.

They also drop in ToB, but that's not really someplace you would be "farming".
