Fletching Trophy

I'm writing this post to find some answers I'm a lvl 40 Human Ranger. I started my fletching trophy quest last night and got all but one combine done for around 700 Plat which by the way nearly made me broke the last combine required me to make 2 Desiccated Treant Laminate this combine requires two items that seem a little bit out of tune with the rest of the combines the first is a Geerlok Laminating Device which can only be made by tinkering at a trivial of 215 and that can only be done by Gnomes. I found one in bazaar for 10000 platinum ouch that would take weeks of farming for me since i only play a couple of hours a day if I'm lucky and that would mean farm the whole time this should be a questable item or available at vendors for a reasonable price so that all races can do fletching trophy and make bows that require laminates. the second item is a Dry Treant Branch which is only found in Ruins of Takish-Hiz this zone has a mob lvl of 50+ and i do not know if it is friendly to humans you need to kill a a grieving spirit or various treants to get a drop. this seems a little out of line with the other combines for trophy since the are low skill lvl at a max for the laminate at 140. The fact that you need a component that is only made by Gnomes is what has me confused since the component is usable by all. can some one help me out on this and has any one confronted Sony about the situation and the fact it should not take a race specific part to complete a quest that can be done by all

Two things:

1. A Fallen Dry Treant branch can be used instead of a Dry Treant branch. The normal version is mob dropped, the Fallen version is the foraged/groundspawn version. If you invis through Takish ruins to get to Elddar forest (where, as a ranger, nothing should be KoS to you near the zone in point) you can forage one. It's not a common forage, but this should be a lot easier than trying to take down the treants that drop them. Alternately, you could check the bazaar... they run 200-400pp on Povar.

2. Geerlok laminating devices cost approximately 160pp to make (assuming you buy the pinion and ball bearing for 25pp each). People are just trying to take advantage of the trophies to make a lot of money. Familiarize yourself with the recipe, gather up as many of the components as you can (most are store bought) and ask around to find a friendly gnome. Maybe try the server specific forums here. Or, try the /barter option to get one - offer a fair amount for it, but significantly less than 10k.

The laminating device is a tool. You get it back after the combine. So if you're that low on cash, you might have some luck asking some higher level fletchers on your server if you could borrow theirs for a few seconds.

Fallen Dry / Dry Treant Branch - I have seen this as a ground spawn in Ruins of Takish as well as Elddar. In both cases, you can get to the ground spawn(s) using Invis (cloudy potions are <12p each, insta-cast, and avalable in PoK if you cannot invis yourself yet.)
Geerlok Laminating Device - as previously stated, this is a tool and is returned on success or failure of the combine. It has been my experience that people will often let you borrow tools such as this just for the asking. Just don't forget to return borrowed tools promptly.
