  • Bag space needed?

Fletching at 196 and I have no bank space thanks to other tradeskills - this is my last tradeskill to get adn with very limited space I am going to have to wait for my trader to do some spectacular trading before I can contemplate starting fletching, in the mean time I suspect I will be levelling alts and farming to get some plat - less than 10k now

    My questions are:

How much bag space will I need to get fletching to 300? does the requirement for space change when I have to start farming stuff for the PoR recipes?

How much plat am I looking at to get me to the PoR recipes if I want to go that route?

Depending on what you make, bagspace may not be a huge issue.
For the PoR recipes, count on needing a ton of space because the wood only stacks to 10. As an occassional maker of PoR bows, both for skillup and for sale, I find I usually have 2-3 bags of various crap for these at any given point in time.

As for the costs, it's going to depend a lot on your server economy and whether or not you can do your own foraging. If you can forage on your own, your platinum costs will be minimal (~100pp/combine), but your time investment will be great.
If you can't forage, count on every little piece costing you at least 100pp, but rarely more than 5Kpp (based on my server's economy).
I know there have 3 or 4 people on my server who can't forage who have driven their fletching skill up entirely through the use of setting themselves up in /buyer mode.

    Good luck!

I got most of my supplies through buyer mode. Thanks chase, you have sold me some stuff in the past. But as far as bag space goes try managing 9 tradeskills at once and maintainnig all the parts needed for AAAAs which is about 6-7 bags just by itself. I have virtually no bag space at all. Just make what you can as you can and try and keep some room, have a fire sale if you need to just to get a free bag here and there.

        Bag Space needed?

When I need bag space for tradeskilling, I find it easiest to die. I keep my trophy with summon 10 slot bag item in my first inventory bag. When you loot, just leave all the rest of the bags on the corpse, and summon 7 new 10 slot bags, or buy some more bags if you don't have a trophy yet. You can also leave a trophy in the bank and get 8 empty bags if you wish. Don't forget to keep your tradeskill items in the bank, or in an easily noticeable container.

          Or...you could just use mules!

          That's what I do!

            unless your mules are full.

I do the corpse thing too when I make sickles.

Some tips from a Shadowrest junkie:

              - Try to make one corpse hold one type of items, such as Sickles.
              - If most of the items are in bags, leave one or two items in main inventory slots so you will know what is on the corpse when you go back to check it later (using the previous tip makes this easier)
              - If you have quest items that are lore that have multiple versions of the same graphic (Lucid Shards is a great example) put them in main inventory and not a bag unless you have the whole set. (if they are in a bag and you get more after the corpse is created, you won't know which to destroy so that you can loot the bag)

I've learned these tips the hard way
