[Mon Mar 13 23:00:39 2006] You have become better at Fletching! (300)
[Mon Mar 13 23:02:04 2006] Your Expert Fletcher Trophy has evolved!
[Tue Mar 14 09:20:29 2006] Your Master Fletcher Trophy has evolved!

While it's much easier for us Wood Elves/Karana Worshippers than for others to max this out, it's relatively easy also for Bakers (MTPs), Alchemists (Distillate IX/X) and possibly some of the others (Smithing and MCS, Brewing and Brut Champagne?) without needing anywhere near as much effort for the "drop" components. In my view, it certainly would not be particularly "damaging" if the amount of XP per combine for the "harder to farm" skills, such as Fletching, were increased some more to reduce the pain for those without the easy cultural/deity route, even down to say 200 successes at 350 trivial.

A suggestion -- it would be easy to achive this via a purely-vendor-bought 350 or 336 trivial combine that also requires 300 skill to ATTEMPT (or 336 modified skill -- i.e. 300 skill +12% trophy) -- in the same way things like the PoP metal rings recipe requires a modified 220 skill. The item created doesn't need to be uber in any way, or even worth very much (would be nice if they, like the mithril champion arrows, were worth something in tribute at least).

This would address some of the grievances of the non-cultural fletchers without creating a "pure vendor route to 300" that Ngreth and the other Developers have stated they do not want - only the insane (I mean committed ) tradeskillers would pay for 800-1000 combines to do nothing but evolve a trophy.

My tailoring trophy was actually fairly easy to skill up, but you're right about the tinkering one, that's been a pita.

I agree, but the idea here was just to address the huge advantage that Karana worshippers (of whatever race) and Wood Elves (of any deity or none) have over everyone esle when it comes to the ease of skilling up and then levelling up the Trophy.

Still, since Ngreth said he never intended for people to "grind" the trophies, I doubt he'll spend much time considering my idead.

Thanks to 1 person putting 140 Sundered blade shards out for sale 2 days ago, and another person putting up 60 Fallen Straight Treant Branches yesterday, I was able to take my trophy from 83% to Level 7 tonight!

I did mostly PoR bows to get there, but did mix in a decent amount of Bazu & PoP as well.

Now to finish up the easier trophys so I can join club 49.
