Composite's Restringable?

Has anyone tried to restring the bows? I saw one of the posts indicated a tradeskill tag. Why not try restringing recipies? Seems the only difference between the 2 bows everyone is complaining about is the string. As soon as I can test the theory (ie get home and servers are up) I'll give it a whirl.

EDIT: Ok, only one post had tradeskill tag.....But, I just checked all the restring recipies listed on the main site. None of the bows listed have a tradeskill tag. Gods I hope I'm correct.

Ooooh you just reminded me. I think I remember hearing somewhere that all of the restringing recipes were removed, although I don't remember the reasoning.

Um...oh shoot I don't remember. That familiar to anyone? Do they still work?

(Btw if you were looking in our database, we don't track the tradeskill tag so *nothing* has it.)

The recipe book they came from (updated with patch) now comments on how the glue runs onto the string and makes the bows unable to be restrung.

The restringing recipes were removed although the tradeskill tags on the bows are still there.

Restringing recipes were removed due to general uselessness, as I recall.
