Sundered Blade

Are there 2 different Sundered Blades dropping now?
I tried to combine a sundered blade, file and cam parts mold in a tanaan forge and got DNC message.
The sundered blade dropped from a pirate in dulak's harbor. It is not tradeskill tagged and has the identical stats as listed by EQtraders.
Is it possible the recipe is a typo and it is NOT a "sundered blade"? Can anyone confirm this besides the original poster?

The following can also be used to complete the combine:


Broken Battle Blade


As Ueauvan mentioned, they drop off mobs in Devistation (and Sundered Blade is also a ground spawn).


There was some discussion, it may end up on a forage list as well.

If the correct combine is file, cam parts mold and sundered battle blade then the data base needs to be updated.
The original post for this also was mistyped and quoted "sundered blade" and not "sundered battle blade".

I did some looking and it appears to be Sundered Blade. I will edit the previous post. (But I know someoen told me it was Sundered Battle Blade, which also is intuitive since you make Battle Bow Cams from them and the Broken Battle Blade, perhaps a name change is in order.)

However there are two "Sundered blade" items. This is the one that should be linked in the recipe and is the one that is the drop and or ground spawn in the zone "Devistation":

Now it appears that the sundered blade ground spawn in devastation is "sunderded blade shards" ???

I have made cam parts with both types, its "broken battle blade" and "sundered blade". both of them have a metal bits graphic, 3 pieces of metal.. if it looks like anything else those are not the droids you are looking for.

there is a sundered blade.. dunno where its from, that has a kind of longsword looking graphic, thats the wrong one.

the metal bits looking ones combine just fine

Hrm... Sundered Blade Shards should not be there yet! I am not sure what is up there.

The shards WILL also work for the combine in the future, in the next patch.

I will also change the name of Sundered Blade so that it is not the same as the OLD item (will still work, jsut a name change)

Have to admit loathe to post this and create one more bottleneck if it is not supposed to be this way, but:

Float around the edges U, and cut in to the mesas that have catapults/tents for best results. Small speckled think on the ground near these places, sundered blade.

Would it not be simpler to rename the older version? I do not belive it has a use other than for verderizing. That way you only have to change the one entry. Not the recipie book + the recipies themselves.

He's a tradeskill dev and the old item has nothing to do with tradeskills so he's probably not allowed to change it.

I also don't "name" the item specifically in the book, just describe it. So books will not need changing

but can you add a note in the recipe component name ? like (devastation not the loy's one)..

or more people will get bite by the con artist selling the junk one...
