Just looted a Horse Hoof of fthe nightmare/rider mobs in Devestation...not sure what the mob name was though Looks like the named in Nightmare past the hobgoblin caves...

So I got all ready tonight, my buddy the tinker had done his work well, I had a laminating device, rollers, laminating blades, shimmering silk thread, I ran out to a guildie chanter and swapped him buffs for some purified mana casting. I happily equip my brewing geerlok for the extra 10 points.....that makes this 200 triv glue combine even MORE trivial right, no worries that the only component I don't have two of is the hoof, since it's the trivial part.

And then the TNG reminded me who was in charge in Norrath again.

Just rotted the drop from my 2nd name spawn of 3 (*grumble* 3!!!!) horses in Tak, talking to myself in real life now, every vendor between SRo and PoK has been dived. Considering killing the TT model things near Ravenglass in arcstone for hoofs if they drop from that model. I killed a couple mobs solo in devastation but it was far from efficient, would hate to have to farm there for a decent droprate.

They drop off the horse&rider models (think Mujaki event) in Devastation so likely would drop off that model elsewhere.

This is me just reporting from players... Not me giving it away.

I am told that the skeletal horse with rider model in arcstone is also dropping the hoves.

I have increased the yield of this glue to 10. This iwll not go in until the next full patch (scheduled 3/14)

I got both horse hooves and low quality horse skin in Theater of Blood last night - 4 hooves and 3 skins.

the scramble for the 3 horses in ruins is like the scramble for the 4 55 aura named, total chaos and no idea who pulled first when i hit from 400ft and noone knows ><

One way to help with that is to stand on the hill side, if you are on a slope, the Horse will warp to you on the initial pull. This helps cut down on the question of who got it first. (This only works when there is no one else on the agro chain).

or i could do what i did when i was bored with my 55 enc bot in tow, killing 3 horses realise noone is killing spring or summer and fight all 5 at once

I did not increase the yield on the Compound glue, it is still 6. Just the Base glue (for skillups)

It was a balance between skillups, and rarity of the items... The compound are the best actual items, so I did not increase them by increasing their glue. The lesser bows I did not mind increasing availability in order to keep a decent skillup path.

In Summary... I helped make the skillup path bows easier, but did not make the top tier bows easier.

Devastation is fairly easily soloable by a 70 ranger as long as you are patient and pick your fights.

Glad the horses in other zones drop the pieces. I sold off most of my branchs since i found so many ground spawns and drops from the Ruins trees. 1500pp a pop was too much to resist hehe. I guess I will try solo Devastation for the blades and hoofs.

Forgive me but been away for a week.. Did the combine for the Compund glue today and afaik it was 6.. I was shocked today that I only got 2 per LQ horse skin.
