Any info on Dragon Fin Spikes and Girplan Feathers?

    Any info on Dragon Fin Spikes and Girplan Feathers?

    I have been looking for information on locations I can hunt and possibly have Dragon Fin Spike or Girplan Feather for my expert fletching trophy quest. All sites I've found have been almost bare of any information besides the basic zone. Since these items are some of the pre-PoR items to skill up to 300 for non-woodelf/Karana fletchers I find the lack of any info odd.

    Now you know why you can count the number of 300 skill non-woodelf non-karana fletchers on one hand. And they did 95% of their skilling up on trophies except for maybe one sicko who made nightmarewood bows to 295.

      At least those that have posted have gone that route...
      They just seem to be kind of rare drops. Quite honestly doing WoS for days or weeks; then DoN Lavaspiners for more days or weeks is just not practical for me. I can get my friends for a DoN maybe onces a week and WoS would be pure pickup groups. Pickup groups! Gack!! Frankly, I'd rather not have the trophy than spend all that time in pickup groups. I know a trophy is supposed to be hell to get but pickup groups are the lowest circle of Hell.

      These are all tradeable items; so eventualy I will just have to see some for sale in Bazaar-mart and kiss a ton of plat goodbye or a friend will get realy lucky on a drop and pass one my way. Patience I do have.

        OK as far as Girplan Feathers these are zones I can find info on quickly:

        Dranik's Hollows
        Drops from murkgliders

        Harbingers' Spire
        Drops from a girplan mason

        Wall of Slaughter
        Drops off a girplan geomancer and a named MOB, Girplan Mastercrafter

          Color me crazy, but I don't think there is any way this side of hell freezing over that you are going to find Girplan Feathers on any Murkglider, heh. As far as the Fin Bones...the only time I ever seen that drop was off Either Kess, or Riku...1 time.

            The goos in the mines of Thurgadin drop coldain heads, presumably from having caught an unsuspecting Coldain away from his guards. Maybe the murkgliders have a taste for Girplan ...

              When Omens first came out, Girplan Feathers sold for about 1k in Bazaar on the old MT server. I bought a few of them since I was able to break even by selling the 13 damage arrows. But then the price went up after the server merger with EMarr. Today, because of the tropy quest, they are listed from 20k to 25k each.

              I plan to spend some time in Harbingers until I can get one to drop.

                Girplan Feathers in HS

                I've been farming the girplans at the top of HS for a while now and the feathers seem to be a very rare drop as I've not gotten one yet

                AKA Muertenie, Melodee, Orelinde, Nounie, Gnomess, Cininea Ashryn, Mairede or a host of additional alts. Maybe also be found on Rabon, Kynsh or Atracker.
