Treant Laminated stuff

Ok, so I'm working on the fletching trophy task thing and it requires me to make an Oak Treant Laminate Bow Staff and also a Desiccated Treant Laminated Recurve Bow. Anyone have recipes? clue? where to hunt to get the stuff?

Yep. go to the new zones.. get new drops. this was done so woodelves/karana followers would not have the trophy any easier than anyone else. Treants seem to be the big trees in Elddar Forest , I think.. I did not personally kill any of these, so no promises.

Would anyone have directions on how to get to the eldar forest? Spent a lot of the first night looking around and couldnt find where this zone was located.

There are also some treants located in Arcstone a bit away from the zone in camp. Didnt kill any so cannot comfirm any drops.

I did not make it to Eldarr last night, but there where a variety of treant in the NE part of Arcstone near one of the 5 quest names, x-something the tree root (that's not it, but close enough you'll recognize). These were all KoS, some saw, and procced a nice ae root that was fun. The zone was so busy more then once we had random pet help for a while as it got ae'd and agrod our mobs. I thought I heard the Eldarr and treants were not KoS to start with, so would rather kill these if the drop tables are the same.

Where can the new fletching book be found? I found a merchant area in Relic but did not see fletching, the freeport merchants inventorey is the same as before.

You go to South Ro at +2735 -320 and zone to Ruins of Takish-Hiz. Then go to +130 -80 and zone to Elddar Forest.

There's a fletching book on the Scribe at the Arcstone zone-in called Ranger's Journal. You have to give him a quill and 3 parchment to get him to sell to you.

Thanks Justarr. Just got done IM'ing my friendly mage, lol, she has 3 of these stashed. I should get the book tonight. Still hoping Arcstone mobs drop the pieces, as the Eldarr treants are not KoS (and do not assit, much like the kirin in Arcstone).

I am concerned though, the treants look great, but the Arcstone mobs use a different model, though maybe it's just smaller.

There are a few KOS treant spirits in Takish-Hiz ruins that drop staff components.

I bet that you are going to need a Straight Oak Treant Branch. Found one on a vendor while vendor diving, so scoffed it up =)

Spent a cpl hrs in Ruins working on 55 aura tome today, killing the treant spirits as the respawned (only 4 of them, not counting the indiff task ones).

About a dozen dry brances, and one straight branch ... one dry branch seemed to be a groundspawn in that area, as well.

Fairly sure I have everything necessary to make the dessicated laminate recurve if only I could figure out how to grind a horse hoof.

The task treants also drop branches. Killed them just to see.. no faction hits. They drop some no-drop seeds of some kind. Got one branch, probably was dry one, off the named.

Do they drop also in Nightmare and POE?

Just wondering but do the treants in Nightmare and POE drop them too? Seems a likely place.

I would think it would be unlikely since they already drop staves for their own bow combines.
