Skilling results from 250 to 300

Hi Fetchers.

Ok, I am very aware that this is a bit of a hot topic, and that most people get the shaft when it comes to fletching. But as a Karana following Halfling, I couldnt pass up the oppertunity to use the skillup path avaliable to me.

So if you are offended by a purchasable path to 300 etc, you better stop reading now.


I did all my fletching in Surefall glade with the following stats -

Wis 305
Fletching mastery - 2

I made enough components for 200 attempts at a time (and took results every 100 attempts)

Each set of 200 attempts took 40mins to make components and do all combines.
Each set of 200 attempts cost me about 6900plat.

Combines - Success - Skillups

Stats.
Attempts - 1847
Success - 1616
Total cost - 63721.5 plat (64k)
Cost per attempt - 34.5 plat

Attempts per skillup = 36.94
Cost per skill = 1275 plat (rounded up)

Time spent - about 7 hours total (including running to bank, passing arrows to mule etc)

Total arrows i have on a mule to sell ----> 16,160 (ugh, Bazaar here i come)


One hour after i finally got to 300, a taxi arrived to take me to the airport where i flew to the USA to spend the next month working abroad. I guess i wont be back online untill the purchasable path to 300 has been nerfed. I got this one out of the way just in time!

Qal, I won't tell you what I spent, but I will say it was not even that much.
but then, I farmed my way to 282 and only did paid way for 18 points.

Yeah, when i was preparing to do this I worked out that it would cost me around 35k...... by the time i had got into it, i realised it was gonna cost a lot more but by that time i couldnt stop......

Should have used the golden tradeskill rule.... Double your cost estimate before you do anything!!!

What you are looking for is Steel Guardian Arrows or Blessed Guardian Arrows (but they are not store only parts). I think you can only do them in Surefall Glade.
