i hear how everyone is having problms 282 to 300. i'ms ure we all ahve problems at one point or another. due to lack of reseources mainly. which brings me to my question. once you get to 200 you can make lots of arrows and some bows. i never ever see anyone wnating to buy arrows. hardly anyone makes them to sell. plenty of bows for sale few bought though. should the goal be to make arrows and dump on vendor or dump bows? it seems there isn't anything that can be made to break even on

Actually, let's not dump on vendors, except full ones.
I think the reason you are not seeing a lot of arrows in the baz is because they simply sell well. I'm not into the highest levels yet but I've made arrows in the mid-220s (Even tried a few 335 combines as I'm a karana worshiper) and have found that I've always easily sold unused stock in the baz for higher than cost.
So, my sugestion is arrows until you have no choice. It's simply cheaper even if you make few sales.

Unless you have the Baz trader space, I would just vendor dump them. On Povar I have had 30 stacks of class 6 serrated tip arrows small on my trader for over a month and only managed to sell 5 stacks (100pp per stack). Nowadays everyone seems to have a clicky summoner for arrows and daggers, Rangers have their AA for everlasting arrows, Rogues have their new Runic Javelins and most tanks seem happy with any arrow that has a decent range, so can make their own low end wooden arrows.
I actually have made quite a bit of money selling just the serrated arrow tips from all my left overs, seems theres more people looking to skillup there fletching than those wanting to actually use the arrows.

I agree with Flehman, a longer range is certainly more desirable than higher damage for a buyer.

ok range arrows it is. anyoen offer some suggestions as to what to make? i prefer making everything from vendors since it cuts down on farming. i had a table showing every, and i do mean EVERY, combination of arrows from cheap to hgih. basically jsut start with the 6c pieces and go up by increment of the enxt most expensive piece until it was all the high price stuff...
what do i make at skill 200?
edit to add: agnostic vah shir beastlord :>

As always my recommendation is here. Just keep in mind that if you are going to sell in the baz, you want to use the small groove nocks on everything... so the range is good.
When I did that all these arrows sold for a slight profit.... with the exception of a few bad streaks of failures.
Take care.

I think the best range on the Serrated is:
Class 2 Steel Serrated Tip Arrow (small Groove)

What is a good source for chunk of taelosian rock or chunk of discord rock? If you actually purchase these, what is your target price? I was considering jumping right to Shaped Darkwood Compound Bow but the cost of failure downright scared me.

I picked up loads of taelosian chunks vendor diving at the wayfarer camps and the vendors closest to Abymal sea bank, also they sell pretty cheap in Baz as 95% of the market dont know what they are used for (well at least on Povar). Also the cost on the bows isnt to bad, as you get most of cost back from NPC vendors, still adds up when your doing 50 per skillup.

Thanks for the vendor diving location. They are fairly non-existent or over 100pp each on my server in the bazaar.
Actually the bows can be done at near zero cost barring failures if you have access to a tinkerer with a skill around 75. Tinkerers can make the bow cams for 12 plat vs buying them for 37. That's 50 plat savings per combine and thus breaking even. Considering the hundreds of combines, this extra subcombine can save you thousands.
Hope this helps.

i farmed in natimbi. pretty much you can have the run of the place. i don't recall the spirits dropping stones. however, the rest of the mobs have a chance of dropping the stones--along with other GoD refinable schtuff. i don't believe the discord rocks drop in anything other than, er, the instances. could be wrong.
just keep an eye out for the emote of the cragbeast queen and/or keep an eye on your ingame clock. while i can say she didn't one round me, she did two round me; wasn't paying attention to where i was--up above spirit camp--nor the time when bang zoom to the moon i went.
